I don't really mind as Runescape has been one of my cheapest hobbies of all time.

The only thing I never understood with the pricing is why buying a bulk of 10 bonds would cost 9p more than buying 10 individually. Virtually everything else in the world gets cheaper as you bulk buy :D

Doesn't affect me either way, it's just a funny thought.

I have played RuneScape since 2003. The last time I payed for membership with real life money was in 2011 before the release of EOC when the game was more enjoyable and affordable. I return now and then, I am fortunate enough to be one of the players who actually had achieved stats while the game was more enjoyable that are good enough to secure the in game wealth to buy bonds to fund membership. The thing is with a price at $11 a month, people are not going to want to buy membership. This further alienates new players, this along with the difficult to understand default interfaces, abilities, and unnecessary features that making starting out as a new player more of a chore than an experience are why Old School has a better player base. The only result of this is going to be less people buying membership and sticking around on rs3 because of the value not being there, and your streamers using their revenue to purchase bonds and gain more in game wealth and have more content to show on their channels, resulting in more revenues for them, but loss of interest of the rest of your playerbase because of how alienating something such as this is.

Players are not going to want to return for mobile with these ridiculous prices scaring them away. Players are not going to want to join with these ridiculous prices scaring them away. The only players that will remain are the current ones, and as players lose interest, there will not be a cycle of new players gaining interest. You are losing your number of customers by catering to the customers who are willing to pay the most and offering them the ability to pay to have an advantage above all other players. What will you do when you have scared away all of the people willing to pay a reasonable amount to enjoy a game because you would rather milk the few rich players, and now these rich players, mostly streamers and youtube content providers, will have interest in their content diminished, and thus also leave the game. STOP IT.

Me thinks that money goes to investors. Investors called "Shandong Hongda Mining Co Ltd" of are current owners of Jagex. Oddly enough real iron mining isn't profitable but virtual is :) So yeah I think Jagex profit goes to patch holes in Chinese mining company budget.

We as Rs players don't get nothing out of it.

Well I guess this is goodbye RuneScape.

I haven't been a member for a couple of weeks now because I leave and come back to this game. I never play all year round. But I enjoy it regardless.

But now I am going to pay more just because I like to play other games around the year when they are released.

Shame on you Jagex.

That is what jagex did to me before I used to pay like 3.50 a month. Yet they said should take breaks from game because unhealthy to play all the time. So took a break and prices went up. Then they added new graphics that I didn't need and sound improvements and increased again now increasing again. Ugh...I like simple , low cost if I wanted to pay more I'd go play dnd on line of wow or some other game. Your killing your long time players off. How can we take breaks even without the worry of losing or current fees only 14 days. The time I took a break I had went on vacation and then had to extend it because my Father died. And bonds already incredible high because of the high unlimit available to buy in game so bots and richy rich rich players buying them up. Paul gower and Andrew said it wasnt about money it was fun. But now that is all runescape is becoming about money and the fun and even the challenge of leveling is pretty much gone since people can just buy their xp. I went from top 14 of runescape to like top 4k probably now. Im ok with that because got part of my life back. Probably get the rest back soon since prices going up.

Quadrupling in inflation over the span of 6 years. Wow... and I thought our economy was terrible but apparently Jagex is even worse. If this doesn't scream money hungry more than anything else your company has done in the last few years I'm not really sure what else does. Love having to keep up 4 constant subs now with my husband and my mains and hcim considering we generally pay for all anyways, just sometimes lapse on occasion due to real life, you know that thing some people actually have. I barely even play this game anymore and it makes me feel like an idiot paying for such trash, and now that price is increasing at 12% a year. Top notch guys, you know exactly how to treat your loyal players and fans. 5* would definitely recommend XD
and the sun also shines upon the wicked

KaseyBeElla people are rich in real life and its not fair for other runescapers. jagex should change runescape back to where you couldn't buy bonds

Well they are getting their money off the people that purchase the bonds that actually help some players continue to play that can't afford the current fees. Some people just barely make in real paying their internet phones and other bill let alone be able to afford an on line game there are many other free play games out their that they can play but, those who started runescape when it was cheap supported it. Now have to pay already 3 times more so even harder. Like me I'd probably be playing wow if I could afford. But, rs is actually getting closer to their fees my money is tight as is since business down and life where I live is incredibly high. Bonds gave me a way to play and enjoy my rs friends but lately getting decrease in that because many just afk the game anyway. Because challenge to lvl and fun which half of was chatting is kind of dead. If bonds removed and fees lowered to like 5$ a month then I'd probably pay. But currently even bonds in game around 20mil that means gotta play even more just to make cash for them to play. Not all people can play 24/7... Bonds should be limited to how many a player can own that way more people can use more people playing and enjoying then means more new players finding out about game which would increase sales.
