So I was looking at the two posts about the price changes and I must say that the OSRS post makes much more sense.
The OSRS post about this included this in it ( The reason for it to occur).
"This decision is the result of a rise in development costs, as well as an increase in operating fees. The Old School RuneScape model is entirely subscription-based, and so to continue delivering great content we have to increase membership fees. The cost of Old School RuneScape's subscription fee still remains more than competitive when compared against other online games." Mod_Sween
The RS3 one does not include anything about the reason, only that there will be an increase in price of membership. And that
"On 4th June 2018 we will be increasing the price of membership for new members and those who’ve been unsubscribed for more than 14 days. The price of Bonds, Treasure Hunter keys, and RuneCoins will also be increasing." Mod shauny.
Something about the reason for the increase in membership prices would have went a long way here.
