That's correct - As long as you maintain your subscription (with a 14 day grace period), your subscription costs will be locked to it's current rate.

That's a sweet way to sugarcoat it, but you're basically saying "just stay with us forever, with minimal allowance to leave temporarily, and you don't need to worry about it; no biggie". How about explaining properly why you need that extra money in the first place, when you're already making huge profits as shown by the company's financial statements?

Just because Jagex posts a profit doesn't mean their cost of business isn't rising every year. Rent, employee salaries, hydro costs, etc. go up every single year. The only way Jagex can keep their profits the same or higher in addition to diversifying their games/products would be to pass along the costs to their users. This is the only way the company stays profitable, its investors invest in it and this game maintains its development.

At the end of the day, I still feel that the membership prices are very reasonable for game of this size now a days. While I can understand that no one would like to pay more, this is just a fact of life when it comes to inflation.

All I know is Jagex promised better quality updates with MTX, and instead we got fewer updates and of lower quality after MTX were added to the game.

The record profits are mostly going to line investors pockets, not into the game, at least not in any visible way to players.

Updates are promised but then cancelled and never delivered, or severely delayed, then when and if released are often very disappointing, having graphics but very little interactive scenery, doors that won't open, fewer things able to be examined, fewer item examines, crates you can't search to find things, content that is more grind than fun to play, designed to take a lot of players time with very little reward to stretch how long content takes to play while not adding anything to the enjoyment of the content, such as Menaphos grind made just to delay getting to the Menaphos quests, which by the way I have still not played most of since the grind is too boring. Trees that are so low level I can't be bothered to cut them, fish that are of no use for anything, a shifting tombs minigame that I can't figure out what the point of playing it is, etc. About the only reason I have to go to Menaphos is as a shortcut to Sophanem for Divination dailies.

Skilling crates is something I look forward to, but will they have valuable items, will it be more based on RNG than effort put in? This game has too much RNG and not enough steady ways to earn GP unless you boss fight, and I don't boss fight.

Sorry Jagex I am not biting

You Nickle and dime your customers for everything, I have played Runescape off and on for 17 Years. I have seen you evolve and change for the worse you adapted from everything that came after you and instead of focusing on what made Runescape good you brought in other mechanics and Features that no one asked for.

And I think we can all see through the mire, Clearly there is going to be a influx of players returning when the mobile app releases. You figure HEY - Lets increase the membership price, I am sorry im not buying it, you haven't shown yourself to be reliable when it comes to content updates or even respectable business practice. Your Financial Reports are publicly available You make A LOT OF MONEY. so your idea is to say well lets jack up that price without showing us what your willing to do for that money, Cause clearly its not invest in your game.

-Scummy Spin the wheel Loot box system you have in the game that rewards Cosmetic items that are worthless (and i mean worthless LIKE ZERO GE OR UNTRADABLE)

-Runemetrics pro - An program that tracks exp gain and other useful info. Lets nickle and dime customers that to 69 bucks a year

just a few things you guys do to make your game as anti Consumer as possible in order to stretch your profits Farther and farther at the cost of your own game and fanbase.

2018 has been mostly trash and/or updates were rushed and not quite there. You barely assured us that the great content of this and next year totally makes up for the price hike. There was no need for the hike and the last thing on the list is RS3 content. Say it like it is: "we're increasing membership on our only viable game due to supporting all of our other projects, including a new MMO."

Mobile version release is upon us...
Maybe decrease the prices instead of increasing it?! O_o

It is not the way to do it- if you want Money maybe make subscription way cheaper
people will have no problems in buying it

If the Membership was 4.99€ like it was in the past, i would buy it for me and i bet many of my friends would also buy it...
With that price ? NEVER

Record profits last year, yet you increase prices.
Short-term corporate greed, you will most likely lose some of the returning players and new players.

Yet again, Canada, Australia and the UK have huge discounts compared to people who play from the Eurozone. Even USA who previously was the most expensive is now cheaper than the Eurozone. Sweden will probably be as cheap as Canada again.

According to Google today
9.49 EUR = 9.49 EUR
6.99 GBP = 8.03 EUR
11.99 CAD = 7.71 EUR
13.49 AUD = 8.48 EUR
10.99 USD = 8.91 EUR
I mean, you pay 23% more in the Eurozone than in Canada.

The 12 month package makes the relative difference even bigger.
In GBP, you pay for 9 months.
In USD, 9.1 months.
In AUD, 9.23 months
In CAD, 9.42 months
In EUR, 9.38 months
GBP and CAD are now pretty much the same, EUR is still 23% more.

Bond Prices:
USD and EUR are pretty much the same, much more expensive that the other currencies.
GBP is much cheaper, followed by CAD and then AUD.
EUR is 24% more than GBP.

Why?

Jagex must know most Mobile games are F2P with in game purchases, not subscription plus in game purchases.
