at that price we need to have more then one toon per account. I'm paying not much above that on another game and I can have 50 toons per account.. need to step up your game RS

I think my membership expires on June 2nd. Jagex is never getting money directly from me again especially at prices like that. To the Jagex defense force who white knight Jagex at every opportunity they get. I hope you y'all keep enjoying your game!

If you're able to keep a grandfathered rate, I see no real reason to give it up. But I totally agree, this price increase is unjustifiable. ~

Thanks 4 letting us keep the grandfathered r8$. Appreciate ya, probly getting primed n ready 4 mobile release. I aint mad at ya, sumtimes Jamflex grinds my gears ie perm muting me for 4 years, but u cant get mad at a company making more money. People get cost of living raises bc nothing ever stays the price, unless your gradfathered in. But yea im always tempted to buy premier with the 50 bonds every year with in-game gp but tbh its cheaper to pay the monthly low fee with old locked in rates, besides i have more fun flipping the bonds n watching my cash stack grow.

TBH, subscription rate hike is pretty much predicted in every MMO that relies on recurring membership. You can tell it coming when real world data shows revenue from pay to play games free falling into a bottomless abyss. The other paying customers have to pay for the missing revenue from the members who left of are leaving. ;)

Yes, I know the Grandfather rate plan. It is the same old way to make sure members remain subscribed. So it won't affect you if you are continue to pay your bill monthly. :)

I wonder how much will next year's Premier Club be though. :(

Isn't the reason you run TH promos 8 days a week to avoid having to raise membership prices?

The active player base has dropped from years ago so raise prices to try and increase revenue yet its just going to lower the rate at which new players join the game.

Then there's players like myself who take breaks every once in a while for several months because new quality content isn't released frequent enough to keep us from getting bored. I mean just take this week's edgeville clean up, literally 3 minutes of gameplay, I was extremely disappointed.

I hope this price increase is used to hire more developers to create quality content more frequently and not simply because you want more money. People spend their money on products, not just because. If the latter, I guess I'll be taking another break with hopes of maybe coming back in a year to have enough stuff to keep me busy for a month or two.

the only real reasons i mind the increases in membership prices are

1. ever since u added MTX you delivered fewer and arguably worse updates, shit like menaphos which is DESIGNED to make you wasted dozens of hours pointlessly grinding for nothing is a prime example of this.

2. you've had record profits every year for what? the past 5 or so years? could you PLEASE explain why the fuck u need price increases on everything when your last years profit was 75 MILLION. and the key word there is profit that's after u paid your employees paid development costs, everything. so NO you do not "need" a price increase to develop shit that is a clear and blatant lie which just insults the intelligence of everyone reading it.

but of course you continue to refuse to answer the question in #2 whether its here or in the dedicated FAQ for this because you don't want to say the actual answer which is either A. you're being greedy or B. your chinese overlords are being greedy.


on the plus side, even at $11 a month its still cheaper then your average popular MMO, as for the price increases on bonds/keys/runecoins, i dont really care because those are all MTX's.
GrandFathered rate is nice though i agree with a earlier suggestion on here that it would be better if u could make the grace period 1 Month instead of 14 days..
