Here are some (hopefully) useful tips from Sylja:
Tips for Free-to-play:
1. If you are training your combat skills don't hesitate to pick up stackable items like arrows or runes dropped by victims, they only take up one slot in your inventory and you can either sell them for some easy money or store them on your bank account for later use.
2. The Rune Platebody (as well as the Green D'hide Body) cannot be worn until you have completed the Dragon Slayer Quest, but you can still wear a Rune Chainbody once you have a Defence level of 40 (or higher).
3. Many skills can be trained in pairs. For example Woodcutting and Firemaking, or Mining and Smithing. If 'power training' isn't your thing, try training multiple skills at once!
For first-time members:
1. Do you want to try and kill some creatures only available to members but don't know where to start? Get a Slayer task from one of the slayers, Turael (in Taverley) and Vannaka (in the Edgeville Dungeon, near the gate leading into the Wilderness) are great Slayer Masters for starting slayers. Both are easy to get to, and do not require you to complete a quest before you can start slaying.
As for Slayer itself, you can ask a Slayer Master for advice on how to effectively kill the creature you are assigned to slay, and how to survive their attacks.
2. Did you know members can enchant emerald ring and sapphire necklaces to make handy teleport items?
Tips for both Free-to-play and Pay-to-play:
1. Gambling is much more common on Runescape than it was a few years ago, and although it might be tempting and an easy way to earn money most 'hosts' are just trying to scam you (run off with your money, weither you win or not). Don't gamble if you don't want to risk losing money.
2. If you see someone saying 'Doubling money!', ignore them. They won't double your money, period.
3. If you need to go into the Wilderness, or any other potentially dangerous place, ask a friend (or clanmate) to go with you, safety comes in numbers.
