So, Mod Pips is replacing Mod Mark?
Mod Mark is Design Director. Design Director != CEO. Mod Pips replacing Rod Cousens. Never heard about Rod Cousens before this news article.

No. Mod Pips is not replacing either Mod Mark or Mod Cousens. Pips is now the COO and acting CEO in the interim. Probably somebody else will replace Cousens later.

CEO. So at this stage the position is only temporary until they find a permanent CEO. Which may or may not be Mod Pips.

Not according to Insight's own website. There is no proof other than random news organizations claiming that Jagex was bought by a Chinese mining company.

Its posted by a german tranlation jmod. Use Google translator addon or something like that.

To be more precise, Jagex was bought by a Chinese game developing company, not a mining company. The Chinese mining company Honda restructured and created a new global game company, injected Jagex into it, and then enlisted the new entity in a Chinese stock market.

Yes, it's true that Pips is currently just the acting CEO until another one can be found; if they find someone, he'll become COO only. However, there's also the possibility that Jagex's BoD may not find a suitable CEO to head up the game and may choose to elevate Pips to CEO instead of just COO.

I honestly haven't seen such a warm welcome for an incoming C-level exec at Jagex since MMG took the position of CEO and many who have known me for a while know that I was pretty much MMG's "biggest fanboy". :P That being said, though, congratulations! Hopefully this marks the beginning of a second golden era for the game and company. :) ~
