To Jagex:
Thanks for communicating with us. I have to admit, I was pessimistic toward the BETA, but I have seen how receptive you are to our feedback. There are many things I have been disappointed about surrounding decisions you have made, but here I am still playing Runescape, lol. I appreciate your encouragement in counting us as part of the team in shaping this game. There are a lot of people who will harshly, even unjustly criticize you, but I hope you find encouragement in the players who appreciate your efforts. Peace.
To my fellow players:
Thanks for testing out the BETA and communicating our needs to Jagex. I hope we can really get together and shape this thing properly, not only with skill and intention, but maturity and patience.

Good idea Batousi, maybe to stop that being abused we could put in a system where food heals more if you have armour on, i.e in your scenario i eat something with no armour and heal to 70LP, then when i put armour on i only have 520LP now, but if i eat that food with armour on it would have healed 200LP instead of 20LP
Still not perfect but with work your idea could be a great solution, I hope Jagex read it over carefully

After playing the beta I had two major concerns: the strength of auto-attacks (and with that, the effectiveness of prayer and herblore) and everywhere being multiway combat. It sounds like my first concern was resolved, and you seem pretty confident that the second will work out. I'm a lot more optimistic that the new system is going to work. :) Team Mystic knows no Bird but the Bird in the North whose name is Artic*no

For the most part, it's not as bad as everyone says, but I am VERY disappointed with Fire Cape and Tohkaar-Kal. As of right now in the livegame, the two capes help in all areas fairly equally, but in the EoC beta, they are both STRICTLY melee. I figure that if someone is skilled or patient enough to earn either the Fire Cape or Tohkaar-Kal, they shouldn't have it's stats nerfed when the beta goes live. The big area of problem here is that skillcapes give VERY slightly less melee critical, (2.0% compared to 2.4%) but also offer 2.0% in both ranged and magic combat triangles as well - and there are FAR more skillcapes in the game than Fire Capes and Tohkaar-Kals. I suppose the two capes shouldn't be insanely overpowered, so how about you simply apply the 2.4% melee critical to magic and ranged as well? On a side note I would like to say I LOVE the new look on the Tohkaar-Kal, I give my appreciation to the graphics team. :D

I have to say I'm impressed for once. You had actually stayed true to your word and took all our feedback into consideration. I'm relieved to know the XP restriction is being taken away and I'm happy to say maybe I'll welcome this combat beta with more like for it.

I think that the first beta was pretty good and I was impressed, but my only criticism would be about the time for the 'adrenaline' bar to go to full, or even halfway, as it goes down very quickly, and even more when eating. This makes it near impossible to use the middle powered or ultimate attacks (Although that could be partially because of the slow computer I was using) - Did anyone else have that problem? It also took a little while to get used to, as navigating the menus quickly to find the right attack was very different compared to the old 'click once and wait for it to die' method.
Anyway, I think that the beta was great- I love the dual wielding (although it took a little bit of getting used to). It also involves the magic and ranged much better than the old system, where melee was more practical every time.
Overall, thank you Jagex, the Evolution of combat is awesome!

holy crap.... i am honestly stunned they actually made the change to the xp rates. normally once jagex makes their decision, they never go back, regardless of how much negative feedback they get. Thank goodness they listened this time.
Tbh, my only major complaint now is that they should modify the combat formula to be X+Def+Y+3, where X= highest combat skill (and in melee's case an average of att and str) and Y= average of secondary comb at skills, such as prayer, summoning, herblore, and constitution (herblore being included because its now a req to drink pots, which have a major influence on combat).
I'm honestly not sure how i feel about the multiway combat everywhere but i havent heard any over-the-top complaints about it... yet.

JAGEX==== i was one of the lucky ones who has had cont mem and went on beta the first day it came out. i was less than pleased. my biggest complaint was the unfair xp for lvls lower than you. there are a lot of other things that i dont love but i will get used to, i just read your update and want to thank you for listening to soooo many of your subscribers and allowing us the freedom to choose what we play. i know this is your game and you have the right to do what you want, but we have given feedback i really appreciate your adjustments based on our opinions.

I really think you should change the combat formula, because there are ALOT of lvl 200s running around, and i think just getting two 99's is really not a challenge, i think you should involve all the combat skills, like attack, strength, defense, magic and ranged, once you have them all maxed then you'll have max combat... not just defense and another 99 combat skill.
WAY too many maxed people out there and it's not really a challenge (:

Hello there Story House here,
What about getting rid of the fact that Prayer does not affect combat level? Why can we not keep Prayer so that it grants 15 combat levels? I'm not going to 'whine' about pure skillers, pure Summoning, and pure Prayers, but those that have never had one of these characters do not understand the affect the level reduction from 15 to 4 is like. Same for level 3s, they wanted to be level 3, not level 4. Why do you need to touch this at all?
Thanks for the Stories! ^_^
