I'm sort of a noob to a lot of this... Thanks for this posting, it does help.
At first I hated beta... I mage & it just wasn't my cup of tea. I've used it a few more times, & gotten the idea of what the adrenaline thing is all about, learned how to set my spells, etc., so I'm liking it a bit more.
I read someone's suggestion about providing a rune pouch (like a quiver for rangers) & I think that is an awesome idea!! Mages are totally at a disadvantage because we can't carry the food, etc. that other warrior types can.
Thanks! :)

I think having icons in the abilities book like the current "mages book" would be a greater advantage over all because then you can see the abilities all together, in their separate tabs respectively. You can see a quick over view of what each one does and what levels it requires!

iv gotta say iv been paying for my membership for well over 2 years and still i feel like you guys arent listening to what a large portion of your paying customers are saying. It feels as though this update has been hastily thrown together without any real consideration to how it will affect pures and clanning in general.
It really concerns me that you guys would go out your way to limit what gear we can use to such an extent where a player with 99 ranged is forced to use leather chaps because in your infinite wisdome black d'hide chaps were to have a 70 def cap or something similar???? cant remember precise reqs but you get the idea hopefully.

I also think that not only is pure clanning going to be affected but clanning in general will be killed. the gameplay is too slow for the higher opt wars such as 30v30. now i cant say im a leader of a top pure clan like FI or FOE but instead i am a proud member of a strong clan, Enemy. and i feel as if i speak for us all when i say nobody in our clan feels like it will be possible for us to continue to function if this update goes live untouched. WE LIKE THE CURRENT COMBAT SYSTEM AS IT EXISTS TODAY. INSTEAD OF TRYING TO BREAK SOMETHING THAT WORKS COULD YOU PERHAPS INSTEAD TRY TO FIX YOUR SERVERS? ITS A PAIN WHEN THE WHOLE PURE COMMUNITY IS OUT ON ITS WEEKEND PK TRIPS ON BOTH SERVERS AND HALF OF US CANT LOGIN BECAUSE YOUR SERVERS ARENT STRONG ENOUGH TO SUPPORT MORE THAN 30 PLAYERS

To who it may concern...
I tried the EoC on the first weekend it was released, i couldn't get round to making the most out of the action bar, but when i was going to high volume worlds with a lot of other players such as the lumbridge courtyard, my gameplay slowed right down and almost impossible to play in maximal graphics settings, i have just bought a new laptop built for gaming 500gb hard drive, Nvidia GeForce 410M and a 6GB memory, i checked out the Frames per seconds on the gameplay and they were running below 5FPS, but when i play on the real game the frames per seconds are running at 50FPS, it drops a bit, when in high volume areas. i dont know if this scenario has come up or not in the forums, or if it has been fixed by now. thats my feedback hope it helps. :)

I think all the things mentioned in the update sound great.
I'm speaking for many people when I say that dungeoneering needs to be worked on. Most importantly the xp rates and how hard it is to survive in a dungeon now. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the work done to the beta and can't wait to see more :)

The beta isn't moving ahead. Infact it's not moving at all! This was discussed between me, my clan, my friends, my friends chat, other friends chats, and random players i met around the game. We all unanimously agree that what Jagex has done here, steps further away from RuneScape, and bullrushes into games that already exsist. The gameplay reminds me of "World of Warcraft" - Fireshine911, "The combat beta reminds me of pwi(Perfect World International), and if i wanted to play that game, i wouldn't play runescape" - Capt Stanky, "If this combat rework goes live, im quitting rs" - Almost every player I talked to, "When the cb rework goes live, im not gonna do cb anymore, ill just skill" - Capt Stanky + Me + ~50 other players. Those are the best reactions I've got towards this rework. My suggestion is to make rs, and rs-cb.Evo. separate, and keep the "import save" option on rs-cb.Evo, also add an import save to the current rs, so any returning players wouldn't have done all the work they did, for no reason. I presented this idea, and nealy every1 that dispised the combat update, agreed it was an acceptable compromise.

I started playing in 2006 approximately and have been a member for most of those years. When I first started playing in free-to-play I idolised the players in full rune armor fighting in the wilderness. I used to mine coal at the skeletons, collect runes in the dark warrior fortress and bury big bones at the boneyard. Someday I wanted to be able to make full rune armor for clans and basically own everybody.
But as I slowly leveled up and completed quests I became a member and discovered much more ways to make money. There was quicker training and quests gave me huge xp rewards and moneymaking areas. Now as a max combat player with all quests complete I feel as if I neglected the best parts of runescape and all I want is a bit of fun back into the game.
This is just my personal opinion and if Jagex only put in some of the things included here it would make Runescape alot more fun. I remember when Runescape didn't feel like a grind to max levels or coins but an actual adventure...I just hope Jagex haven't forgotten what their name stood for. "Just about the Gaming Experience."
I present some ideas to help Jagex to revive the Wilderness and help save most pkers from quitting.
Number 1: There could be a new area located north of the wilderness. All the new bosses that drop the parts of armor sets and new weapons introduced in the EOC Beta would be located here.
Number 2: New resources such as dragon rocks to mine or new fishing spots for high level food near mage bank. Any more suggestions are welcome.
Number 3: New Wilderness Dungeons where you can fight bosses in groups or solo but you lose all the items you risk with no gravestone. These would be instanced for each player or group so noone could attack you. These bosses would drop the new parts of armor sets and weapons in the EOC Beta.
These are all just ideas and I am open to any suggestions or changes necessary to keep Runescape the fun adventurous game I remember. Thank you for reading :) ___
