Jagex 2012: We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape.


And look what happened. There's a dam microtransaction every freaking week!!!
Treasure Hunter allows players to literally BUY THEIR WAY TO SUCCESS! Your gold in game also directly impacts your experience.


So when you say that this China acquisition will not impact the amount of microtransactions we get,

Well, for all those who are out, I am willing to hold their accounts until they decide to shamefully return once they realized nothing has changed except for the amount of money Jagex is making. :P Players will probably Quit 4 Life this time.

Gonna regret making this post, it is probably going to get hidden, and haven't felt the need or want to post for a very long time but a black hole is being opened, and the game we still cling to will be sucked in never to return.

The Chinese are the kings of shady dealing, lots of American companies that decided to do business in China have had their trade secrets stolen and had other competing companies opened up having the same technologies as the ones stolen.

I wouldn't think of this as a way to open up your business to a new market, the Chinese economy has one of the biggest bubbles and its already started to pop with the stock market losing almost all of its value. Look up China's ghost cities, property values are going to plummet once the housing bubble pops.

But go ahead, sell it to the Chinese and make my day, just don't come running to the players later saying you screwed up expecting a free pass.
