Well its not a certain deal until they pay the "deposit" at the end of this month. I'm sure we will hear more if that does or does not happen.

As long as you do not shut the game down or destroy the playerbase I'm semi ok with it all.... I struggle sometimes when i go to pay for runescae with real money because i wonder when or if it will shutdown and if my money and time will be wasted.

Maybe if you could add new player metric* to show us how big and active the player base is, alot more people would be ok with spending more money, i know i would.

if i knew there were thousands and thousands of players and mostly active but the number was slowly growing, then i would have no problem throwing in over a hundred dollars a year figuratively speaking,

I bought a $10 card today for RS3 though and seen 70k+ people online and it made me feel good... please dont let anything take from or destroy this game...please.... Ive played since 2006 and i visit some places in game and have real memories of being a child and old players i knew in highschool. DOnt let an asian company take that away from some of us vets :-) . Id pay 15$ a month before id be ok with loosing this peice of art*

** RS Vet I've been playing since 2006 or so I don't know why this shows 2019 on my profile... If anyone has any info on fixing that it'd be appreciated.. look me up on high scores or check out my profile.. I have over 800 posts on the forums and I didn't get my levels all this month haha

Mrari, there's no reason to believe they will shut down the game. Quite the opposite actually. They want the game to keep its value or increase, the way to do that is by encouraging more people to play it.

Aside from the fact that he said "this will be the end of Runescape as we know it", we also know that China's gaming market accepts heavy mtx the likes of which Runescape has never seen.

I fully agree that it could end up the end of Runescape "as we know it" because the additional micro-payment system could easily obliterate what anyone knows of Runescape right now.

Only time is going to tell, but seriously, people are going to be concerned (at least until more news is available) and trying to say they have no reason to be is simply not accepting that their opinion differs from your own.
