I never said how much money one player spends or doesn't spend matter much. If you don't spend, fine. I also did not spend a penny this year, I used Bonds, although I have been a paid member since the earliest date when subscription was started over 10 years ago. Happy now?
Also, don't get upset over a company selling itself to another. When you buy a stock, you don't expect yourself to hold it for life, right? Business turnover is normal. It all started with the Gowers selling part of Jagex to other investors, then came IVP and others, and now Honda.
Don't worry so much since you only started membership in Feb 2016. Canceling membership about 1 month of membership already? And you made only 4 posts altogether including this one.
No you didn't say it mattered, you insinuated it.
As for the company, between 2010 and 2016 the game has changed to the point RS is no longer recognizable, hence the reason for OS. I play both because I can relate to both. The reason for the changes: Jagex is owned my someone other than the creator. Whoever has majority control, makes the creative decisions. This is evident in all the game changes during the last 6 years.
I did not say I would never p2p again. I said I am worried, and will not P2P until I know what it is going to turn into. If they target Chines players, the game its self with change drastically. I assume because they talked about the potential market, they will be marketing to the Chines population, who by the way, have a completely different cultural view than most of the players on here, that will change game content.
Next point, in 2008 many players quit, leaving fewer core players on this game. If the content added or taken from the game causes more people to quit, you have a good chance of losing your core players, and that in its self will change the game.
Who actually owns Jagex does matter.
