Jagex are not selling gold and have no intention of doing so. No extra gold is being introduced into the economy by the introduction of bonds.

It doesn't matter where the gold comes from, you're still selling gold. The real world traders didn't introduce new gold into the economy either.

It does matter where the gold comes from.....now they are selling OUR gold.

First of all, this is your own RWT system, even more so then buying spins for the sof was, so any further statements that you are against RWT are going to be patently false. Second, this isn't going to work since the gold farming sites will simply undercut your price. If you were truly against RWT you would ban the 40% you've identified as buying gold and keep banning them until they got the message, rather then selling your own gold.

I won't say I'm going to quit or anything like that, since I don't really care. Gold farmers and RWT are going to happen. I don't like that fact, but a fact it is. I don't do it, nor do anyone I'm friends with, and that's all that matters to me. I doubt I'll ever buy a bond, either for gc or real world cash, since as mentioned I don't engage in RWT and buying it for gc is going to be far too expensive.

I'd say I'm disappointed in you Jagex, but after the sof and buying spins, in this area you didn't really have much respect left to lose.

Huh. So...it took Jagex a very long time and lots of research to copy CCP's system from EVE Online?

I dunno if it'll work, but I really don't like where Jagex is going with this. I am uncomfortable about the fact that I can make more gold from buying bonds with the money I make in an hour at my job, than I can make in years of playing on the weekends when I'm off. I always kind of liked the fact that progress in RuneScape was divorced from IRL means and wealth. I will watch to see how this goes, but I really don't like this idea. Gentleman adventurer is fancy talk for "I annoy people and am not well paid for it."

Gold farmer sites sell Jagex gold.

Bonds = Jagex selling our gold we have earned in game.

The mod that has been responding is correct no "new" gp is entering the game....that is because they are selling the gold that WE have.

I originally thought this was more RWT bs, but it's the same thing, just giftable.

No it's not the same thing. OMG!

Now let's pretend the 50% was true, well guess what, now 90% RWT's.
People didn't buy from gold farmers because it wasn't 100% safe, well now that Jagex is doing it, people believe it and know they won't get scammed and it encourages more RWT.
