I am assuming that I buy a $5.00 bond donate that bond to charity and the organizaiton gets $00.05 for that bond, when I could have just sent the organization the full five bucks to begin with?
so, yes your right I won't be donating that to charity if I am ever stupid enough to buy one in the first place.

Myself, while I generally see this as a good idea, I confess to being confused as to how this combats gold farming. It seems to me that by implementing an in-game way to purchase membership with gold, you've actually created another incentive to gold farm.
The addition of bonds to the game is only part of the solution. Jagex has invested, and will continue to invest, time and technology in to tackling gold farming. This has already caused the price of gold being sold by goldfarmers to rise.
At the same time gold farmers must now compete with the players themselves so whilst it is becoming more difficult for gold farmers to operate they must also try to reduce their costs. This is what will kill gold farming.
If Jagex ever managed to
kill
gold farming for good, would we see the end of the bonds aswell? It's not right no matter how you put it.
Or do you think they'd just come back if we got rid of this current system?
Also please remove SOF now that people can actually buy gold easily, let's not kill the game for those who play for exp. We both know people spun because of gold, good idea or not - it happened.

A clear, accesible survey should suffice to settle this. Like the Free trade and OSRS surveys. If we vote no, it goes, if we vote yes, it stays. The year of the player right?
Interesting to say the least. I guess I kinda like it, but it seems like a FTW back words kind of thing (meaning some people see it as great, others hate it). I guess I'll try to make the most of them. I'll probably buy one for my friend to renew his sub and try out RS3. Plus, now we can really "buy" spins and rune coins with gold... Which I can feel pleased with.
I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.
