I'm not a lawyer, but I think it would amount to "breach of contract" if they did, without notifying you well in advance.

Your exactly right. Every paying member could file suit against Jagex for this without a 1 paying month forewarning. There is a reason there was no mention us this, just woke up to see our dictator MMG's video popout on home page.

I really do love this idea. I've seen it used effectively on other games which seriously helped the player base. My only worry is will people charge so much that normal players cannot afford it? I just checked the price and it was set at twelve million gp. Which I consider a lot but I suppose that really isn't surprising since it JUST came out. I've been playing for roughly 7 years and would love the chance to relive my "glory" days as a member. Also get my hands on that vet cape :P

i got a question for the community. are you guys gonna make money the legit way or are you gonna use bonds? remember $5 = 12m

i'd rather go relatively legit...relatively....if i buy a bond. i'll save it for friends and whatnot...that doesnt mean i wont by some for myself if i get the chance...free membership for a bad economy though...hmmm........thinking.......

@Mod Mmg
Dear Mod Mmg, I just want to compliment your speech on bonds in the video. You kept very calm and the way you presented yourself and the way you spoke made me feel like you really care about RuneScape. I think a lot of us were beginning to think that the Jagex company was caring less and less about the game. You saying "God Bless" at the end of the video meant a lot to me as well because of my religious background. Thanks.
Sincerely, MerchinBills

So right now, I can purchase roughly 2 years of membership for every member in my clan using gp....How is that profitable for jagex in the long run?

In terms of what is in this for Jagex we want to ensure the long term health of the game and we would love to see more members in the game. We want to offer as many people in the community as possible to have the opportunity to enjoy the members content.

Exactly,
Mod MMG is a moron
and a terrible CEO, its about time he started listening to us players and this selling of bonds sure as hell isnt what we want, countless friends of mine have already quit due to this and its just sad to see the small remaining community further bashed by such a moronic idea such as bonds.
