Had Mod MMG not personally taken his time out to explain why this was necessary.. I might have hated this... but.. since they took the time to talk to us like adults. They both earned back some respect, and I may come to like this... especially the part where I don't have to pay for membership anymore.. but the buyable wealth part... I can see some one rich in real life coming in and buying a million of these to sell in the game for a torva set... You got rid of the gold farmers by making yourselves the gold farmers.. that said... If the problem's not going to go away, might as well make profit off of it. It's smart, and it'll keep the game from dying... doesn't mean I have to like it though... *goes out and buys 100* I'm not proud...

The final nail in the coffin... Just when I was about to start playing again.

RS3 is officially Pay2Win now. Buy anythingyou want with real world money. Gold, xp, items. Whatever.

So sad.

Thanks for killing the game Jagex. I won't be renewing my members.
The introduction of bonds has not suddenly made Runescape "pay to win". Bonds cannot be traded for experience - either in terms of your in-game XP or your knowledge of the game. You will also only be able to trade for items that players have already acquired are willing - and able - to trade. Bonds give another option for trading between players.

Many people consider more than just xp when thinking about success in RS (rhymes ftw) and some skills are made significantly easier to train with large amounts of GP. The only solutions I can see are these: Boycot bonds, get rid of them, or take the RWT to the max but make membership free and limit what you can buy with IRL cash so that the best and most exclusive armour has to be earned. If the last option is chosen then it should be made sure that nothing that you can buy with IRL money should be inaccessible to players who are willing to put in the time instead of paying. IRL cash should be a shortcut to an end while gameplay is the long way around.

The bonds are a good step at the sellers in the rule breaking RWIT transaction.

What I and the other 60% of the loyal rule abiding players would like to see from Jagex is a pledge that the company will start enforcing the rules against the buyer side of the rule breaking transaction.

Jagex has stated that they know the number and hence the accounts that are cheating and since the return of free trade have ignore it with a wink-wink nod-nod.

That is insulting to honest players. We have knowingly been placed at a disadvantage. I would like to know that we will not continue to be slapped in the face by the cheaters being permitted in game advantage over us.

Jagex's rules on Real World Trading have not changed including the rules stating that game items must only be exchanged for other items, or services, within the game and anyone found to be breaking these rules will be dealt with in the same way they have always been.

What a joke...?

If your statistics aren't utter BS (40-50% of current player base RWT, sure thing buddy!) then why not DEAL with this concrete evidence in the manner you claim you will.

I.E Ban these 40-50% with your state-of-the-art RWT detection super secret software.

Unless it's from Jagex, of course. ;)

In this update, all you see is whiners!! I don't understand what all the fuss is about?? I mean Both F2P and P2P players benefited with update!

F2P now can buy membership, spins and RC with their hard earned money.

P2P now can officially buy GP with-in the game. Can give away bonds to their clan players as a reward for the hard work and do so many other awesome things with it.

I myself is looking forward to joining a clan for Bonds :P

Just curious what is the way they have always been dealt with. Gambling was wiped out in two weeks once it was made against the rules and strictly enforced. I have to believe this rule has not been enforced if so many are willing to risk their accounts by ignoring the rule.
