"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape."

The main difference between this and gold-farming is that Jagex profits instead of Chinese hack conglomerates, as far as I can tell. It looks like RWT is legitimate as long as the owners make the money. While I do like the idea of using Runescape wealth to buy memberships/Runecoins/SOF spins, this could happen - and "reward hardcore players" - in some more direct fashion. The only bonds in-game will all be bought with real money in Jagex's pocket. That's still buying Runescape success with hard currency. Why not just sell skillcapes then? At least it's more honest.

or why not buy the GE market because that's where it's going. now, unless the gold sink is effective, i swear to god, runescape is just going to become another private server
