Will ask my question again, if you use a bond for membership do you surrender your "grandfather rate" in the process?

Sorry that my original reply seems to have gotten lost in how quickly the thread is moving.

Redeeming bonds is no different to any other way of extending your membership in terms of your membership price. If you have a lower rate that has been grandfathered in then you will not lose this lower rate as long as you do not allow a break of more than 7 days in your membership.

Maybe I can clarify two questions others are having and had at first.

Question: Will this affect my grandfather rate?
Answer: “No. Redeeming your bond for membership will simply add the extra membership credit to your account, and leave any recurring membership agreement active. Your next payment will be deferred, and you will only pay for additional membership when you have less than 3 days credit remaining.”
The key here is leave current agreement active.

Question: This is just like GF because it adds GP to the game.
Answer: No new GP will be added to the game. The GP was already there. All this does is transfers it to someone else. You cannot make RW money by playing RS. Gold farmers currently do this.

Question: Do people with RW money have an advantage?
Answer: Yes. However, according to Jagex they already had this. Only difference now it will help the game out. Nothing is perfect so get over it.

Mod Redfox - This was attempted by Blizzard with D3 with a RMAH. It didn't work. Not at all. Every goldfarmer simply entered the system and flooded it with what they were trying to sell. Prices crashed worse than I've ever seen in another game. The goldfarmers also purchased anything reasonably priced for ingame gold so that they could sell it for money.

THIS WON'T WORK.
