It's just corruption and stupidity. There hasn't been a single decent live game update since 2011. First the SoF, then SGS, then the EoC, then RS3 and now this. A series of unwanted and in most cases highly controversial updates that alienates most of the player base and is succeeding in converting RuneScape from a unique and popular MMORPG run by a decent company that has a good CEO and good staff to a knockoff version of several other games such as WoW and Diablo run buy a company with a moneyhungry CEO that hasn't done a single thing right.

And please shut up about "no extra money being brought into the game" This isn't the issue that people are upset about so stop bringing it up every time someone criticizes Bonds even when they don't bring it up.

Jagex used to be a great company with a great game and when i was a kid and found out about this game i'd spend every waking moment playing it and when I was older I wanted to work for Jagex and be part of it. Now I'd like nothing better than to see Jagex go bankrupt so that the weight of their actions that they have been supporting these past 2 years finally crushes them and they realize that the players were right and that they should have listened. I've given up asking for them to get rid of the EoC and RS3. It's hopeless. Maybe if Andrew Gower was still in charge I'd have a chance and maybe this never would have happened in the first place.

We understand why many players might feel like this, however, this is like saying that the victims of crime must have deserved it in some way. We have a duty of care towards the safety of all of our community and the reality is that there are varying levels of both experience and maturity within the large and diverse community that makes up RuneScape and it is, almost invariably, the most vulnerable that fall foul of these scams.

The rules regarding Real World Trading are in place to help ensure a balanced economy (for example to prevent large amounts of gold being injected in to the economy). However, they are also in place for a far more important reason and this is to keep the community safe. This is a crucial part of these rules as whenever a player breaks the rules by engaging in Real World Trading they place both their financial details and their account at risk.

I am still trying to get my head around this. You say it is more important to protect cheaters from harm that is self inflicted by actions that did not involve Jagex in anyway than it is to treat honest, loyal customers with respect and provide them a good gaming experience?

This is a truly messed up business model but I am glad you admitted it so we can make informed decisions.

Why would a single loyal, non-cheating customer want to keep a membership with a company with this attitude?

WOW, just WOW.

They are the victim of crime because they are breaking YOUR rules. Your obligation should be to the honest, loyal, rule abiding customers you have. Our experience is ruined by your support of the cheaters.

WOW!!!! Just WOW!!!

You would be helping the cheaters more by penalizing them for cheating and rolling back and confiscating their ill gotten gains than by coddling them. What udder nonsense.
