Wow, I totally read that thread wrong. I'm embarrassed because I thought it meant that we could post names in there that you guys might not have had some usernames available already. Whoops :)

One more way to suck money from palyers. Now you can pay for a bond to change your name. Can we say IVP ripoff?

SOME people don't login for a year or two due to real life issues. Do they lose their accounts? If so, are you SURE you want to do this? It will show what a patheticly insignificant following this game actually has.

An account created on launch day of RuneScape Classic and stopped playing in 2005 for example can come back in 2014 and still have all of their stats, but will have to pick a new name.

I don't wanna sound rude but I probably will anyway. Do people not read the article before posting? I also don't wanna make a fool of myself here but I'm pretty sure that there is NO mentioning of removing any accounts whatsoever. Freeing up their display name doesn't mean that their account is lost for all eternity, as all will be the same except that they'll have to pick a new (or their old one if available) name.

I don't really know how this will work out because there might be inactive accounts who try to log in after 2 years and then end up permanently changing their name. Besides that, I'm looking forward to this and I hope to get a name that I like :D
