just popping in to read the pages that have come up since my last post.
Seems as if nothing has really changed. Some people like it, more people don't. The popular vote is to leave JAG in place and add the authenticator as an option for those who want to use it.
Now here are some figures I find a bit more disturbing:
Has anyone bothered to count the posts from people who seem to only be interested in bashing those less tech capable then themselves, or those less skilled in communicating their issues? My mother used to say "If you can't say something nice/positive. Then don't say anything." If you have information, if you have a problem, if you have something definitive or positive to add to the on-going discussion, please, by all means post. If not, could you please go start your own thread where all those with the same tendencies to abuse their fellow players while trying to make themselves feel superior can feel free to bash away. Not everyone is comfortable, capable, educated, gifted, happy, or ( in the case of many underaged players) allowed to, download and set this thing up.
Options are always nice and allowing people to choose which of these methods of security to use shouldn't be any sort of problem. Unless there already is a problem....How about it Mr. Jagex? Is there an existing problem? Is there some reason you want to sluff responsibility for our security off on 3rd parties and our own admitedly un-informed abilities? I would like an answer please? Because if there is a problem I have a right to know. And if there isn't, then there is no need to force these changes. Honestly, I could do this if I chose to. It is not beyond my skills. But I see no reason to, no need for, removing the existing security feature. Present your reasoning, show me your proof, give me cause. Otherwise, give EVERYONE A CHOICE.
