I have very big trouble to set up the Authenticator. when i scan the barcode, i get a code what i put in on step 3 of the set-up page. But every code i get, its says that the code is incorrect..... What the hell am i doing wrong?? (I have no smartphone, but i use it with my tablet, where i can get the google authenticator app).

I also miss the possibility to change my old recovery questions, cant find it on the whole account setup where to change them, where is it gone?

If anyone can help, i would be so grateful.

i'm having exactly the same problem as this guy, every code i enter it says is wrong even though it is the exact code i see on my screen... help anyone?

I feel as if its bugged, My boyfriend shares the same view, it asks for codes way too soon, i last put my code in 2 weeks ago and now its asking for it again. It doesn't even get to 30 days before it starts asking me for my code even though i always tick the "remind me again in 30 days". My boyfriend has the same issue as when i am at his, it asks too soon.

Please tell me others are having the same issue, if so please can this be fixed or allow it to remind me again in 3months.

So I set up the authentication and it's been working fine all until the 30 days passed. Now when I try to enter in the code it doesn't work, I get the error message but my time is perfectly fine. I can't disable it due to forgetting the ******** to my email registered with the account, and I can't change it to the one I use currently because you need the old email to change it. Help please... I need to play

I would Like to Voice my DISPLEASURE At this Statement.

I do NOT have a Cellphone that Even Uses Applications... so that Device is out...
I WILL NOT Add any Code Generating Program to my Computer ... Per my OWN Security Choices. [Edit: besides all the Issues I see people post about here concerning the Authenticator]

I Still have JAG active on this account at least, I Approve of that (too bad its considered Obsolete) :@

So..... Apparently Jagex is going to Punish me for NOT Using the Authenticator.
By Blocking me out of something, in the future, that MIGHT be worth my time.

You can download WinAuth onto a USB device, then plug into your computer to set up. I did have issues to start, but that was to do with my clock not being the same as 'internet' time.

You can set up multiple accounts with WinAuth, just name each one you add.

My Authenticator is enabled - but why it says the code I entered was incorrect, please try again. It happen once, so I disable the authenticator, uninstall my phone app and start over, got it back. After not playing 14 days, I was able log in. Now this time is doing the same thing, what did I do wrong? I don't mark to keep for 30 days. I keep typed the 6 digits and saying incorrect. I went to my account and saw that Authenticator is enable. This was posted at approx: 10:07 PM Eastern.


11:10 PM Nevermind....I got it - found my phone clock doesn't match my computer, so I reset my phone to match the computer clock. Now I can log in. WHEW!!!

my clock on my "phone" is correct as i had to install bluestacks to my just just so i could maintain account security it uses my pc's time as its time so this is an issue with the app, this shift is causing more problems than it's helping people. that and depending on whom plays this game alot of people dont have cellphones, i started playing this game when i was like 12 where only 35% of people have a cellphone. at that age pretty much any1 can be tricked into giving out account info so not having JAG on the account really hurts them.
