It's fine if you want to add new security measures, but please don't remove security measures from other people to do so? JAG was a system that would reliably work for everybody, and if somebody managed to get themselves hacked with that on they probably deserved it. This system might be more secure individually, but when it's removing security from the thousands of people it defeats the purpose.
Keep this system, but at least give us the option of JAG.
I only have one pc and I don't have a smart phone I am not going to download 3rd party software that is open to hackers. I will not give my mobile number to a company so they can make money from it buy selling the list to 3rd party companies. Where is your loyalty to you players Jagex you want us to be loyal you say you want us to have a say as it's " OUR GAME" so why aren't you asking first instead of forcing people to change or stop playing the game. We have a perfectly good working system if jagex want to buy me a second pc and a smart phone then yes I will upgrade but if not as soon as they remove the guardian I am sorry but as much as I love runescape I think I will be cancelling my membership and if I continue to play which I think most likely I wont then I will go look for another online community game to play. One that doesn't force change without any warning or consultation. Sorry to say bye to runescape but it looks like the end for me.

As far as I can tell this looks like the strongest security measure you've provided for accounts so far. Already downloaded and set up the app. While I've never really had problems in the past all it takes is one stroke of bad luck and you've got your bank cleaned. This just gives some peace of mind, if it's really as effective as it's cracked up to be (my tech-savvy clanmates seem to think so).

I don't have a smart phone and have no intention of using this authentication system. When you get around to disabling JAG, I wonder if I will still be able to play the game?
I've played RS for almost 10 years paid membership and never had any hacker problems. This is really making me think I will have to cancel my account and find some other game to play if you make it so darn difficult to enter your game. Disconnects are annoying enough without having to go thru more rigmarole to re-connect.
I enjoy RuneScape, but this is just plain annoying to have to deal with. Why do you force this on everyone just because some people can't keep their account information private?
If people are so paranoid about hackers, fine, let them use this new system; but please don't disable the JAG account guardian.
