Last year at $75.00 US dollars the 2,000 Runecoins which let me get Bank Space Boosters made the Gold Premiere members worth getting, even though it was $15.00 more than I would pay with the Loyalty rate.
This year the price for the Gold Premiere membership is $86.50 which would make it $26.50 more than the *60.00 Loyalty rate I could pay otherwise, and there is not enough incentive in the package for me to pay more in an economy where I have more expenses with prices going up for necessities, and less money coming in because of a decrease to my income.
This year there are no Runecoins, and no new bank space boosters, and instead Loyalty points which I already have 200,000 of. Loyalty points just are not as useful as Runecoins.
The main reason for me to consider the Gold Premiere package this year is because it can be purchased using Bonds bought with GP instead of using real money, though if someone didn't already purchase Bonds via in game wealth before the price of Bonds went up on the GE, the GP price in Bonds may be too high to be appealing. Thankfully I started buying Bonds through the GE before the price jumped to nearly 10,000,000 GP per Bond, and was able to buy all but 2 for 8m GP each or less. The last two Bonds cost me over 9.8M GP each, and I would not have been able to afford 24 at that price.
For me the Gold Premiere package offers very little compared to last year. It would be hard to say if it would be worth paying in advance based on the Promo items when we don't know what they will be. The Runecoins not being in the package makes a big difference, and the increased price over last year would be too much, were I not paying with Bonds bought with in game wealth.
Even the Bonds price seems high, as you only save 2 Bonds over what it would otherwise cost to pay in Bonds over a year. I think the Bonds price should be 18 to 22 Bonds.
I hope Jagex will consider adding in Runecoins.
