Comparing the bonus items from 2012 and 2013 the way I see it:
Paladin outfit > 2 Pig pets
2k Rune Coins > 150k Loyalty Points
Beta access <> VIP worlds
Jagex HQ lottery <> Exclusive Q&As
Newsletter <> VIP badges

What exactly are we paying more for this time round? VIP badges, Worlds and Q&As? How many of us actually want them, let alone pay extra for those? I feel like these are just 'checklist' items to pad out the number of Premier Club rewards.

Obviously, the wildcard here is the 2014 promotional cosmetic items. Unless Jagex are planning to release a lot of them, I just don't see where the extra cost of the package is coming from.

A suggestion: since it won't be feasible to lower the price of the bundles after they've gone on sale, why not throw in some Runecoins or more discontinued cosmetic items e.g. the Ornate katana or the Shadow Series of overrides formerly from the SGS.

It's not really worth it to buy it this year...

No new items, since I have them all already and the VIP badge is annoying in chat plus it doesn't look that nice.

You haven't convinced me buying the gold package this year (yet)

Some additional items and features would be nice.

People seriously never think things through properly.. Oh well time to explain a bit.
I see the extra cash we are paying (compared to last year) as paying for an exclusive server, we are also paying for JMod - community interaction in this private world, that's not free people, It has a cost and it's fine, as we are taking away the Jmods time, from their proper work, and like everything in a working environment can't go for free, it's a simple fact about that, and i know since i work in office as well.
SO people need to stop ranting, hating, making people from jagex feel uneasy, just because your spoiled little minds can't see far beyond what they get offered, in order to see if it's a good investment or not, i see it fine and the price for this is justified for the bonus we are going to get.
Mod Infinity, hopefully we get to see you on this VIP world if it's under your power to do so.

~~Cheers!!

I am currently a Gold Member, I have logged into the VIP world, but when I go to enable the in-game badge to go beside my name, it tells me that I need to be a gold member to enable the VIP chat badge. Please help me with this.

Sorry Jagex, Gold Membership just not worth it this year. I had it last year and had the benefit of runecoins which are much more appealing than loyalty points. I thought the idea behind membership is the make the price reflect the benefits both in game and financially and this time it's just not.

I've been a member for quite some time now and lucky enough to still have a 1 month subscription costs of £3.20, so:

£3.20 x 12 = £38.40

Gold membership = £52.20, that a huge rise of £14.10 extra. I can buy 800 ruincoins for £13.99

Even at normal monthly membership price of £4.95 it is only a saving of £6.90 which will be great for new members, but not your old ones.
Even a yearly subscription price is £44.95 which is cheaper by £7****

So come on Jagex make these membership costs benefits those of us who have been around for a long time and have already lined your pockets. I think a balance of a members loyalty versus benefits needs to be looked at here.

Agree!

Great minds think alike.
