The only appealing feature of this 'package' is the extra spin per day.
However, since the removal of pendants/exp gems, the sof isn't really worth it unless there's some ridiculous special that gives tons of exp/gp (Samid's gloves/Prayer and slayer exp bonus). Basically, it means an extra small cash bag or an uncut ruby each day...

The extra world really isn't needed, and I doubt the Q&A would prove to be useful.
The star beside your name... I hope that's temporary. Completely stupid/a cheap scheme to get people interested.

Runecoins definitely need to be added into the package, loyalty points aren't going to cut it. This package is aimed at the long term, active players of Runescape, whom would most likely have the auras they want by now.

As for the cosmetic items from monthly game card specials, they're generally bad...

If you're a fan of spins and would like a dodgy looking star next to your name, this package is for you. If not, it's cheaper to buy the standard yearly membership.

I really don't like the idea of yet another place where Jmods communicate with only a small section of the player base.

(It's not jealousy - I'm on high level forums and I hate that jmods post stuff there that not everyone can see, I'm on clan leaders forum and I hate that jmods post stuff there that not everyone can see.)

I just think it's wrong. Put all the information you're going to give out in the one place where everyone can see it, otherwise you're just not being fair to all your players. It's bad enough we have to hunt around facebook and a dozen twitter accounts to get information that should be on the main runescape website first, but at least that's possible. Keeping much of the player base from reading what you're telling a select section is just rude. It reeks of the Climbing Boots debacle.

Sorry Jagex, Gold Membership just not worth it this year. I had it last year and had the benefit of runecoins which are much more appealing than loyalty points. I thought the idea behind membership is the make the price reflect the benefits both in game and financially and this time it's just not.

I've been a member for quite some time now and lucky enough to still have a 1 month subscription costs of £3.20, so:

£3.20 x 12 = £38.40

Gold membership = £52.20, that a huge rise of £14.10 extra. I can buy 800 ruincoins for £13.99

Even at normal monthly membership price of £4.95 it is only a saving of £6.90 which will be great for new members, but not your old ones.
Even a yearly subscription price is £44.95 which is cheaper by £7****

So come on Jagex make these membership costs benefits those of us who have been around for a long time and have already lined your pockets. I think a balance of a members loyalty versus benefits needs to be looked at here.

The fact that there is now an in game advantage for those who buy this package is very concerning for me. I feel as if the monthly fee I've been paying for most of the last 7 years of my life is not good enough now. Members are supposed to have the best game play experience. For someone like me who does not feel comfortable using a credit card online this is very frustrating as you can not buy it with membership cards.

Mhm... Don't think I'm going to buy Gold package again. :( Paying 10 euros extra for so called "gifts" that I won't even use lol. :P like 150k Loyatly points, I already have everything I need and more, where am I supposed to spend those? Not to mention that I'm already getting 40k+ loyalty points per month. Or VIP world that I probably wouldn't even use. Would rather just buy a normal 1 year package and spend the extra money for something more useful. :)
Not a Saney.

Holy ....Just realised that gold members is £52.50. I paid £35 last year. My god jagex a 50% increase. Has anyone told you guys that the UK headline inflation rate is 2.4%.

You really are having a laugh

I think the £35 might have been for the silver as the receipt I looked up for last year was £44.95, still an unfair increase considering it is not as great of value as it was last year.

As a grandfathered member I pay $60 US per year. The gold for a year is $86.50 US. I am not going to pay $26.50 more just for some cosmetic's, pets, spin a day, and loyalty points. I already have over 400k loyalty points now after buying all the aura's I wanted and all the emotes. I definately will not be buying this. I have the in-game wealth to buy this with bonds but I don't think I will do that either. I can think of better things to spend 200 mil coins on than this.
