5 of my mates did buy the same thing and are really disappointed..we might actually get into another game..so sick of these guys treating us like this. honestly...
I will not deny this is a good timing (60k payout at the end of the month if I keep this up of LP)
but couldn't you have warned us of this promo a little earlier?
Within the last 2 weeks I bought 175k loyalty points worth of stuff (2 keepsake keys and that awful looking tokhar brute set, which I repurposed the boots/gloves to match the keepsaked black armor)
Also this is making me realize
how horrendously overpriced bank boosters and teleports are.
I'd say keep the
current
, slashed price.
And give me that award-winning/captain blackbeard on the loyalty shop!
I'm never buying it with runecoins, but I've had this beard since RS2 was released, and want to mix it up.
See, the last time we had these loyalty point sales, we didn't get a refund if we bought them early. But:
1. The items on sale were auras. The most expensive ones were 23k loyalty points. If you'd bought them too early, you would have missed out on a month's worth or so of points, which is disappointing, but not a big deal.
2. The sales happened either several months after the items were released, or at the same time that they were released.
Now, we're looking at discounts of as much as 100k off for a single item! That's more than six months' worth! It is
not
trivial! And it's not happening six months later, it's happening
two weeks
later,
immediately
after the release, with
just
enough delay for players to lose out on ENORMOUS amounts of points.
I bought the stuff early even though the prices were high because I figured, well, there's a good chance they rebalance these prices, but the last time they rebalanced loyalty prices, players who'd bought the more expensive versions got refunded, so I'd probably be okay...and there might be a sale, but who knows how long I'd have to wait?
And they probably wouldn't put the most expensive ones on sale anyway, since a discount of 100k loyalty for a single item would be unheard of. After all, previous sales have never given a discount that high. Last time, the most expensive items were only given 25% off, which would be a maximum savings of about 20k for the most expensive one. And they
told us a week in advance
that there would be a sale--if they were doing another sale, they'd give the same kind of heads-up, wouldn't they?
The prices were way too high to begin with anyway. Why can't the sale prices just be an actual permanent price drop? I mean seriously.

I waited for a sale because of what happened the last time I purchased items from Solomon's, where I had bought bank boosters at the full Runecoins price with the 2000 Runecoins I had gotten as part of Gold membership, only for there to be a sale a short while later, which had I known I would have waited for.
No one likes to pay full price on something only to find they could have gotten a better deal by waiting just a few days or weeks.
I am sure a lot of players would have waited to spend their Loyalty points and/or Runecoins had they known there would be a sale only a few days to a few weeks later.
I would like advance notice of sales and/or a guarantee anyone who buys anything within a few days before a sale would get the sale price.
Hi.
People keep saying this is a "sale" but reducing the the price on the least bought items isn't a sale, its a gimmick.
Next time put Auras on sale, or pets or the better teleports not the crappy ones no one cares about. Also, Im no math expert but simple percentages anyone can do, quite a few of the items arent even at 20%. 10%=/=20%
