Xp rates are always going to be slow when you first start out a new skill. Most of the people complaining about the xp rates, I mean, it's like you guys have never ever trained a gathering skill from level 1 before.

Remember how long it took to cut down a tree with a bronze axe? Mine some copper with a bronze pick? Fish a whole inventory of shrimp? Come on guys.

But if you're like level 90 and getting 50k xp an hour, by all means complain. But for now, deal with the xp rates the same way you guys dealt with xp rates for other gathering skills at low levels.

50k xp per hour at 90 isn't too bad tbh lol

Here is how I see it:
The skill isn't too bad tbh. Sure training is slow, but it's kind of relaxing, so I find it amusing to some extent.
However, the rewards should be greater at higher levels. For example, the Sign of the Porter only banks a select few items. Why not just let us bank whatever we want? I mean, if we are going to spend countless hours grinding this skill, which will most likely take longer than any other 99, why not give us a better reward than only being able to do a select few things?

The skill is decent, it gives me something to do and has some decent rewards,
xp is a bit slow but thats expected, im sure itll be adjusted just as it was with other skills.
Don't complain about the rewards just yet, this is a gathering skill, you dont see mining, woodcutting and fishing allowing you to craft items with the resources, and the craft skill is going to be the next skill coming out, so just gather the resources and wait for that skill!
However, graphics wise, it isn't what i thought it would be like, its the same thing til 99 just in a different location, if that got changed i wouldn't have very much to complain about :)

I feel that some of the rewards need a bit of tweaking. Transmuting materials should be made slightly more in our favor e.g. it should be 2 fish to get to the next tier instead of 3 as it just isn't practical at the moment in some areas. The daily mobile skill point should also last slightly longer as it gets used very fast with a lot of people around.

Perhaps the most valuable item to make at lower levels is the portents of passage as these bypass the annoyance of the potion making process in damonheim. Kudos for thinking that reward up Jagex.

Agreed. Think back when before exp lamps when the only way to train a skill was to well...train the skill. It took me weeks, if not months to be able to mine mithril, chop yews, or fish Swordies. If you feel it's too slow, leave it.

On another note, I hope they add a Batch 2 before the production skill comes out.

hey i know this is not about the new skill but. the battle of lumbrige is cool only becuase i join with zammorak why not make a new skill where you could pray to zammorak not saradoim because the skill prayer really fells like a saradomin god skill. i think it would be awesome if you could chose what god you well pray to. like make a new skill just like prayer but diffrent abilitys like at a high enough level you could hit the new zamorak god skill and make you sword on fire or boost attacking ability and hit rate i know prayer gives you bounes like that but its mostly protecting you but not with this new praying skill you could give the players a big hand if we had a new skill like that. giving them a chance to chose who to pray to are do both with this new battle of lumbrige i think it will fit right in . the skill should give players ability like chaos super boosting there hit rate boost the amount of damage you do allowing you to enchant you swords bows staffs with the gods i think it world be a lot better if we could if we could do a lot more with the skill prayer letting the players really get to know the gods and letting the player chose like divination is a skill for guthix right ? what bout zamorak a skill for him world be awesome. thx for reading i hope you guys and girls down at runescape really think of this new skill in a better way then i explaned.
