A bit slow? Some pretty good rewards? lol
I am so glad this thread is still open. Please allow me to give you my feedback.
I'm currently 95 Div, going for 99 and the Max cape.
I need to ask why Div is not only a bit slow but the slowest skill to train that I have encountered in a long time?! I mean, it is SUPER SLOW!
Some pretty good rewards doesn't justify the time it takes to reach 99. The grind is absolutely unbearable. I wouldn't mind that so much if the payoff was extraordinary. But it is not, no where near it, not even in the ball park. I may need those high level portents and signs one day, sure... but I will rarely use them. Maybe if they didn't have a cooldown, or such a long one at least, I might use them more frequently. Oh and thank you so much for the high level Divine Location that is pretty much redundant once we unlock it.
What's that? Inventor will justify it? Yeah? When???? Is that gonna be a super grind fest too?
Omg, Jagex. Come on!
Caches break up the grind and monotony only slightly.
Seriously, I am tempted to go train Div at General Graardor using the one effigy p/h drop I get there. There wouldn't be much of a difference in the xp gain rate, that's for sure and at least I wouldn't be totally bored out of my mind!
Do you want people to hate Divination? Was this your intention?
In short the payoffs do not justify such a steep xp gain rate curve, not by a long shot.
Either increase the XP gain rate or rework the rewards to pure awesomeness status.
You're killin' us here!
P.S. It's a sad fact that we can say the dxp weekend temporarily increased the gainz from 75k xp p/h to 150k xp p/h, while most of the other skills were 1m xp p/h or even more. Very sad indeed. A comparison Jagex should take very seriously and look deeply into before players like myself do something drastic like cancel subscription until the matter is satisfactorily addressed.
I give Divination 3 disgruntled faces.

That which makes us all the same is the fact that we are all different
