I kinda wished that the HTML5 was made of the RS client. One of the cool things about the Rs client was that it took away all the browser lag. Now it seems we will have to go back to the browser lag again :(

But other then this minor hiccup, I am

I frequent various MMORPG web sites and forums, Will it be permissible to post screen shots and even video capture of beta play? And, I have heard the 17th a lot as the start date for closed beta....that's this month right...like tomorrow? I bought premier gold at the end of last year, and even so I registered my interest before the close date for the beta...I am anxiously awaiting the email (I will probably be checking my email every 5-10 min from 12:01 am on lol), when can I expect it?

Yes, today Jagex time, though it probably won't open till around midday, definitely not till they get into the office in the morning. The emails were sent out on Monday. A lot of people said it went to their spam folders, perhaps check there? Even if you didn't get one though, you should be able to log into the beta if you're a gold member.

They've decided to postpone the Beta so they can remove the EoC, essentially limiting your character to standing stationary to gain experience while you fix some Ramen, aka ''cooking dinner''.
Once the kids are happy with everything, and Jagex has their permission, they'll release the Beta and we'll all post helpful feedback like: '' :[[ my character looks unpretty in teh beta!''. We'll all stand around and skill wearing our swaggot rares and max capes we bought, ignoring the real purpose of the Beta.. truly enjoying the gameplay without that awful EoC that makes us do hard stuff like press buttons.
...it'll be beautiful. :')

If you don't appreciate things like: your parents paying for your membership; a more advanced/challenging, albeit buggy, combat system; or a superior game overhaul Beta released without a precious client.... I'd like to point you in the direction of moving traffic another game*.

Hope to be able to get into this beta im really looking forward to it.
Wasn't able to participate in the last eoc beta much, but really gona have some time each day to be able to indulge into this one.

Alright. for the dumb people who ask dumb questions:

EOC stays, deal with it, it won't be removed just because you don't like it, go cry in some other corner.

Once HTML5 is launched, they will probably make a downloadable client in time.

The html5 version of runescape does not work on firefox at the moment, and will never work on internet explorer, what do you expect from IE anyway?

They are going to look into ways to support it on linux as well at some point, have patience.
