Mate, its true they said loyalty points will be boosted, but there is no way to know the amount of points they will be increasing monthly, and even they increase loyalty point rates by a lot it would take a LOT of time to start winning a reasonable ammount of points from the prices I saw on the video, and thats not all, It took me 1 year to gather the points i now have (120k, which is 300 runecoins), I am not asking jagex to change those prices by a lot, but cmon man 1k loyalty points is like 8€, now compare that to the 60€ i paid for my menber.

Yes, but this merge is not intended to stop microtransactions . This is meant to be an alternative for people who absolutely cannot buy runecoins. It is expected that buying runecoins will always be the faster and cheaper way of getting items in the shop. Jagex still needs to make money. There is no longer going to be a cap and you get bonus's every 6 months and a year. It's best to wait until Tuesday to see how much we get before everyone on forums throws a riot.

Also, compare this time to actual outfits in the loyalty shop. On a new account it takes months to get a cheap outfit, emote, etc. How is this any different when you take into consideration that we get a boost AND loyalty points are not intended to be the primary way of obtaining these items?

Uhhh... wat. This isn't a merge, this is rewarding players with SOME things rather than all (as a true merge) and you would need to be a member for over a year to unlock most of the rewards (and most of the rewards are crappy, lower grade stuff rather than things people actually want.)

I'm disappointed, I thought this would be a true merge and not just and excuse to taunt people with things they can't have unless they pay for it.

I'm wondering if we will lose the unique colors of the current Loyalty Shoppe outfits.

I would much prefer to keep the unique colors of the current Loyalty Shoppe outfits instead of having them be the same color palette as the current Solomon's General Store outfits as this limits the variety of our RS clothing choices.

We already have a wide variety of Solomon's outfits with a limited color palette and probably don't need more outfits (such as the Loyalty oufits) with the exact same color palette.

The colors of the Loyalty Shoppe outifts are so unique that I would hate to lose them.

I have many friends who wanted outfits but couldn't afford to spend the extra money on cosmetics - now they will be able to. Jagex didn't intend for this to replace microtransactions but instead give another option to make it more fair.

I agree that it's good that there is now another option for players to obtain cosmetic items from SGS.

I totally agree, Spiritika. I love the different color choices of the current outfits, and hope they don't make major changes to them.

I was somewhat excited about this because I thought loyalty points were going to take precedence over RuneCoins, meaning that ALL items could be bought with loyalty points, while SOME/MOST items could be purchased with RuneCoins.

I must say, I'm disappointed to learn otherwise.

I'm actually surprised... at the number of people who didn't expect this. Of course the 'big ticket' items will either cost loads of loyalty points or wont be buyable at all with them.

Really the best way to get something you want without buying runecoins is to wait and hope for a promotion. I got what I wanted from SGS just by buying a years membership in advance.

Sigh.

It made me cringe to see it was 130k for a bank booster. I really hope you are thinking this through fully, and I hope to see my loyalty to the store over the full 2 years will pay off when it comes to my monthly points. (unless it's based on how long you've had your membership running)

I was hoping to buy some emotes and stuff, but I will likely be spending my 138k on a bank booster :( I get my next set of loyalty points on the 28th, oh how I hope it's a good amount - and not just like 20k instead of 15k.

I think it would be great if we could exchange loyalty points for runecoins . That would give loyal members a choice of everything in the store.

If the exchange rate was reasonable enough to make loyalty mean something?

350k LP for a single keepsake key??

Okay. I presume our LP per month will be very, very much improved. But at the current level, it would take 24 months (2 years) of membership to get a SINGLE key. I was assuming such items as the Keepsake key, which is not the priciest item ever, wouldn't be so pricy. Maybe one every 2 or 3 months. So I presume my monthly loyalty points will be about 100k? Am I too nice to myself? 30k a month? Then it´d take 12 months (an entire year), which would make it feel rather boring to aim for.

Also, I´d love to get this answered; Since the LP is getting such an (Apparently) huge boost, will people who already reached the LP reward cap get some bonus points on update day, or at least be bumped up to the new cap right away? It seems like any new member can just jump on and get about the same as we are right now because of this increase.
