A lot of players may not realize it yet, but Jagex slightly changed the Solomon store pet interface- you now have the ability to see each stage of pets and recolor them, even if you do not own them.
Originally you could only see the baby stage of a pet you did not own it. This is a very beneficial update for future pets so players no longer have to wait for pictures of every stage of pet before deciding if you want it or not.
Thank you!
And a big THANK YOU for creating companion pets! Continuing with only legendary pets wouldn't have appealed to more players. Legendary pets are much more expensive without much benefit. Their "abilities" that everyone complains about is quite lame and not worth buying just for game benefit.
On top of that, Only one stage (adult) is usually appealing to players, making the need for two other stages pointless.
I do wish that companion pets could be given nicknames, just as I hope when we can add followers to the pet interface that we could give nicknames to them as well.
Companion pets open up a lot more possibilities for new pets. I'll be updating my Solomon Store pet suggestion thread with new companion pet ideas.
I could see continuing with the boss theme. A companion Kalphite king would be cool. I also think that the Avatas of creation and destruction from Soul Wars would be very popular. A pet Zilyana though, would be a little too weird for my tastes. But a pet version of Graardor or Kree'arra would be great for followers of Bandos and Armadyl to have their own God pets.
I'm not terribly interested in the Vorago shard pet though. It's cool, but I want something more like the skypouncer. Something elegant or beautiful as opposed to tough looking.
I really hope that Jagex releases more pets in the near future, because pet additions lag far behind everything else in the store.
