I don't mind using Google Chrome, although I rarely ever use the browser for any other purpose besides playing RS. And I don't believe you will lose anything when it switches over, but my question is will the current RS still be available or will it completely convert over into RS3?

I'm excited for RuneScape 3, the only thing I'm worried about is the lag or jittering in Clan Wars on World 80 (I have a really good computer), as that will hurt my combat experience.

Aside from that, I hope it lives up to what it is.

Thank you!

Most of us use
Opera
or
Firefox
, but I'm pretty sure that when Jagex made RS3 playable only on
G
o
o

e
Chrome, around 200,000 or more players downloaded it just because they wanted to try RS3.
Jagex, I don't care how much
G
o
o
g
l
e
paid you to make RS3 available only on their browser, but I want to play RS3 on
Firefox
, and stop lying that other browsers do not support it or something like that.

Any ideas how much
G

e
paid to Jagex?
$500,000? $1,000,000?

How ignorant can you be? You want to know why it only works in chrome? Its because unlike other browsers, Chrome is actually trying to improve the web and is the only one who supports the latest features of HTML5. Its not an excuse, they literally cannot support other browsers till those browsers support the extra features. Firefox is close to supporting it so RS will work there soon. Trust me I'm a web designer, this stuff gets complicated. Plus HTML5 isn't even a finished spec yet which is why most browsers don't support everything, they are waiting till its finished. Don't go assuming that Jagex, sold out when you don't know what you are talking about.

oh and by the way, the majority of people use IE and CHROME, they don't use Firefox or (lol) Opera! Those are far in the minority.

-----

Jagex, I just want to say thank you for all the work you have put into the game! I have loved every update you have came out with. Its great to see RS move to become a modern game, and its still browser based which is just incredible... INCREDIBLE!

Thank you Jagex!

Why don't you just log in to the htm5 beta and find out? :P

Not buying a new computer to play runescape. I had issues with the client so only get on through Internet Explorer. Will that still be possible?

So once again, internet explorer with the java, lowest grahics settings, in 19 days will I be playing runescape?

Thanks.

I have over the past months, I will occasionally check the lag out, it is still an issue for those activities, my computer is able to run RS3 at max specs, but I just run it in default and it will still jitter in that activity. =/

They have said multiple times that you can still access the Java client as before. If you can play RS now then you will be fine.
