Welcome to the Ataraxia recruitment thread! Founded as a skilling clan in September 2017, Ataraxia grew into a social clan with a focus on skilling. To demonstrate peace and happiness, the clan members came together and settled on the name Ataraxia which means "peace of mind." Ataraxia brings together a group of mature individuals looking for a place on Runescape to call home -- a place without drama but full of friends.

Do not ask for or demand rank-ups; they are earned. All points are maintained through a Clan Bot that is accessible through Discord. Leaders are aware of those who contribute enough to be promoted to Admin+.

No arguing between members. If you are having an issue with a member, take it to a private message or inform a leader and we'll try and come to some middle ground.

Avoid sensitive topics such as politics, religion, race, etc. as well as keep the swearing as minimal as possible.

Ataraxia does not require that you cap at the citadel; however, it is strongly recommended! Capping is great way to rank up in the clan, and as a player, you can take advantage of the avatar xp buff of +6% if you have fealty 3.


All clannies can request an event and/or can even offer to host one!

Recruit: Earned upon joining

Corporal: 5 points

Sergeant: 25 points

Lieutenant: 50 points

Captain: 100 points

General: 150 points


Admin: This is an honorary rank offered to active and engaging Generals who are a shining example of what we look for in a clannie. No duties required!


Organiser: This rank will be offered to Admins who are showing potential as leaders in the clan and who wish to do more. The main duties of an Organiser are weekly cappings, active in the clan chat and discord, hosting at least one event per week and recruiting.


Ranks Organisers+ are on the Management Crew. If a member is promoted to the Crew, the below characteristics are required.

We have an active Discord server! It is not required for clannies to join, but we highly recommend it. A lot of clan communication and general conversation takes place there.

Ataraxia has been a clan for five years thanks to the great group of people who have stuck around. Over the years, our clannies' lives have evolved, and this means RuneScape has been put on the back burner for many of them. Clannies come and go with their activity as they play other games, live their lives in the real world, and simply find other things to do.

This means that Ataraxia, while still full of great people, has grown quieter than it once was. Our Clan Chat has been especially hit, but our Discord is still fairly active. If you want a place where the activity is mostly on Discord (not voice chat), than we may be for you, but if you are looking for an active CC with clan events, we may not be the clan you are looking for anymore.

Before applying, please consider this. If you have questions, please message someone on the Management Crew, but we wanted to be transparent about our current clan status.
