The upgrade from Runescape 1 to Runescape 2 was MASSIVE. It deserved to be the second release of the game. But .. The difference between Runescape 3 and 2? Absolutely minimal. Everything looks nearly the same; its the equivalent of changing the interface slightly to make it more user-friendly and adding a quest. Sure, its "upgrading" to HTML5, but is it really an upgrade? Changing from a reliable engine that's done its job for years to a new, unoptimized engine that many machines can't support?

The EOC made me quit, the release of RS 2007 brought me back, and now the pathetic efforts of Jagex are too much for me to stay even playing that. I refuse to give another dollar to a company that attempts to make players stay by faking a release of the third generation of their game.

I am really looking forward to Runescape 3, I am sure it will be great. Although there will be some things we won't really like about ourselves changing the story, I think it will contribute greatly to a better, more interactive game.
People that liked Runescape as it was will always be there, but Runescape sure must improve. The only think I want is good new content and Jagex really tries to make that for us Runescapers. Jagex could listen a bit more to what players want by using polls more frequently, but overall, Jagex does not do a bad job.

Lol @RS3 and pathetic fake attempts to bring back players. I played beta and there's almost no difference. Instead you could spend your money to rework content which is 90% forgotten and outdated. That could definitely bring more players. You call customizable UI a new generation of runescape? Ha ha ha.

How stupid and rushed. HTML5 is only supported on ONE browser at the moment. The NIS needs LOTS OF WORK, there's still serious FPS issues. You're ******** lots of players.

It's just leaving beta and they will eventually expand it to other browsers.
Get a better computer, I have no problem running Runescape3 beta with NO lag at all.
If you have a problem with RS3 just play it on java.
