So by your logic, eoc bottle fed kids can change 07 to make it easier because they are too lazy to deal with it.

Sounds like you work for Jagex.

may i ask whom you are refering to?

I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting what your saying or not mr Togue, but from what I'm gathering, you seem to be implicating that Jagex is trying to avoid having to live up to their end of the agreement basically, and if I'm wrong please forgive me. But if that's what your suggesting then all I have to say is, how would this benefit Jagex at all?

jagex is to make money with out spending money... the cost of doing upgrades is not a cheap investment..

by keeping updates low they make more profits..

will they never do updates? no they would have to keep and expand on thier player base.. but by putting a high number like 75% then they could if they chose to deny what the majority of players wants...when its more cost effeciant for them to do... and why shouldnt they ? after all it didnt make the vote percentage right? ( sarcasim)

i say thats wrong... by making it a 51% majority they would have to keep thier promise to the players..

for jagex the 75% was a good thing .. it left a door way open ...

Jagex didn't ask for this or even suggest it.... the players DID.

Well I suppose if you look at it from that standpoint it would make sense. But as I stated earlier, the 75% came directly from the players, not Jagex. I refuse to allow myself to believe that Jagex would intentionally wiggle their way out of a promise they made to us.

But I do respect your opinion Mr Togue :)

why would they????? its a benifit for them to be able to decide if a update should be done or not and without ownership behind the reason for not doing it.. they now have the abilty to use the excuse it didnt make the 75%

edited to add... and this is why i think jagex used it as a cop out...the players handed them a cop out ( excuse) on a silver platter...

you are right they didnt suggest the number but they should have just siad from the beginning... it will be a majority vote issues..

ummm?????

basically your argument is if jagex can do as few updates as possible it makes more money...and to hell with wat the players want??

If i have understood you correctly then you seem to be missing the point that if jagex doesnt keep their players happy...the players leave to play another game! How would that then make Jagex more money??

For this reason (if for no other) it is entirely in Jagex's interest to keep players happy...and isnt that precisely what they are trying to do here??

@togue

I honestly don't get this. You spend days (literally) saying you don't want to get the levels required to vote... that you won't be playing OSRS... that you don't want to play it.. and complaining how horrible it is for others to suggest an increase in total lvl requirement.. and now..

Now, you are complaining that jagex listened to the players? That they did EXACTLY what the players asked them to do? That somehow makes them "evil" or "underhanded"? HOW?

By your logic... jagex is damned if they do and damned if they don't, but... why are YOU raisin' hell about it when you've already said you won't be playing the old game?

Again, I simply do not understand your perspective of complaint, when you have no interest in the old game.
