The amount of knee jerk reactions in this thread is astounding. Making some small quality of life improvements to the game is not a bad thing, and it will not start some kind of chain reaction that causes the game to revert back into everything you hate and despise with EoC. I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but not every change made after 2007 was a bad one. This is absurd. Please take off the blinders and look at the changes proposed without the bias you have towards EoC.

"Jumping" a player who doesn't expect it isn't cheating. It was put in the game that way for a reason. Nothing in this game can be considered cheating, aside from using a program to modify the game, hacking into Jagex's servers, botting, or abusing a glitch.

You cannot have a viable MMO where nothing ever changes. People will just get bored and drift away.

And opposing small changes to remove annoyances is pretty unreasonable.

I decided to vote against the Easter Event. While I wouldn't complain about it, don't really think it's worth the development time or investment to implement an event I already done.

Maybe I played too many of them :/.

Why? Because then activities that require members items and PKing using members equipment would be impossible.


the wildernes is hugh... not all of it has to be pkable... alot of the space is wasted..

the only reason to not want area for pking is so a person can jump another unexpecting unaware player....which its self is cheating.. you say you dont want cheating... but you want cheating... that doesnt make sence to me

the reason you want a f2p rules inforced... to prevent cheating...so which is it... cheating yes? cheating no? you cant have it both ways..and save the resources to invest in 07

What you are describing is the very idea of the wilderness. A place where you aren't safe, and where other players can pop up at any moment to attack you. That is the very core ideal of the wilderness.

I don't understand what you mean when you mention cheating over and over. Are you suggesting that attacking someone who doesn't want to be attacked is somehow cheating? No, that's called the wilderness. If you want strict one on one pvp with rules and limitations you can always go to the duel arena. If you want to use the wilderness for other things, like skilling, and are tired of being killed. All I can say to you is you accept the risk you take when you hop that ditch.

do what you want...

take the resources for f2p pk worlds... and do it...

but do not complain when jagex says for the first time ... we cant do some thing you all want because it will cost too much.. and then they say they could but they need you to pay more..

i think its a waste of resources... i say you shouldnt have the right to infringe on my way of playing and if i chose not to pk then you shouldnt be able to prevent me from enjoying half the world just cause its pkable... i shouldnt have to alter my playing behavor to suit your needs... the world is big enough... you can have a area big enough to enjoy... but thats not good enough ... you want to be able to cheat items out of unexpecting unprepared unexperienced players for the satifcation of your egos..
the problem with this as a paying members you are stealing the use of money spent to enjoy the entire world map..

i am not preventing you from pking... yet you think its ok for you to prevent me from playing ...

so i throw my hands up in the air and say spend the money any way you want...

Nobody's preventing you from playing. The wilderness was always meant to be a dangerous area. You also can't run up to the kalphite queen at level 3 and expect to live, either. You should just deal with it.

Also, I have never done PKing, and probably never will.
