Whew, this is so exciting! It looks promising thus far..the only thing I'm really worried about is the PKers' F2P worlds. I'm not a PKer but I'm not so stupid as to not be able to recognize the importance that PKers feel in relation to having that feature implemented into the game. I really hope that that 74% becomes 75%+ soon.

EDIT: Hadn't noticed that left-click banking got so yes-bombed 'till I went back and looked after seeing the posts on here. :/ That's not good...that is a move towards EOC.

mr togue: "but for this server... they want to be treated as a yes?"

That's not what I said. In the section you quoted, I proposed that we could discount the "abstain" votes altogether, not count them as "yes" votes. " Of the people who voted Yes or No , 80% voted yes. "

Another player has suggested that they thought it'd be fairer if we counted half the "abstain" votes as "yes" and half as "no". I'm not sure I agree.

I've seen quite a few posts saying they'd prefer not to have an "abstain" option at all. That'd be easiest of all from Jagex's point of view, but we'd be interested to know your thoughts on the matter.

Tread VERY carefully when adding these stupid polls. You've put the option for left-click banking in the poll and it's been yesbombed.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN OFFERING MORE LAZY OPTIONS, lest this becomes EOC.

As far as the UNID/Grimy war is going, you idiots at jagex can't go 1 month without making people angry at you it seems.

Once again, tread carefully or you'll lose yourself a sub.

Keeping the POLL's as a Yes/No only option would probably be easier but that's just my two cents. Although I personally believe that which ever poll has the higher amount of votes should be accepted regardless unless it's a really close tie. Not sure what you guys should do regarding close cuts.

I don't think you unsubscribing is harming them since disrespected Jagex by calling them idiots. You know Jagex could just terminate your account just because they feel like it as well. Afterall you agreed to their ToS when you made your account.

Anyways none of these options are catering to lazy players either and that includes the left click to bank option. If you really feel like using one more click makes you a hardcore gamer then I don't know what to say in all honesty. IMO the only option there that could affect gameplay is the Unids to Grimy and that's only harming scammers and traders who profit by making other users gamble in trades.

if you are concidering them to be a yes vote why have the vote at all..

better question is if you are concerned that a vote wont pass because of a abstained vote why set the numbers at 75% in the first place...

are you not confident that the majority of the players will want your changes?

let majority rule... 51% would decide the opinion of the players.

"I'm personally hoping people won't want an abstain option. We'd only get into arguments about how to interpret the results."

--

Well of course there would be arguments, because it's just as easy to assume that those who abstain would have voted "yes", isn't it?

I see no purpose in an abstain option, when you're already offering both yes and no options.

I do like that you have chosen simplistic, and separate, questions (with only yes or no as the option).

I would hope that, in future, you will ensure that adequate explanations are offered on any more significant questions in the polls (for example: defining jagex's definition of "optional" to clarify if things would actually BE optional).

I would also like to see you let the Old School players decide what total level should be required to place votes on changes to the old game.

Safeguards, if you will, against those who simply don't want to play it but want to see it destroyed (no, I'm not suggesting there are a lot of them, but there is a thread running in Feedback currently, with one who is adamant that he should be able to sway the vote, without playing the game and without interest in playing the game).

Anyway, I think you did an outstanding job on this first poll and I thank you for that.
