I just heard about this on facebook a few minutes ago, wow, if this gets added, I will renew my subscription and so will thousands of people. Before going into this, I'ld like to say, I FULLY SUPPORT

...Here are some reasons why you SHOULD add this -
~Many old veterans who don't play anymore (like myself) will join again.
~Adding a subscription fee = more money.
~Might give current 2013 rs some hype
~etc...

...Thank you so much and I really do hope this gets added, I've been waiting for this for a very long time...

This is the best news I have heard on the newsfeed in over a year. Jagex, your consideration for veterans and the vintage version of the game has earned my support. If we do get enough votes for this, please restore the game that so many of us miss.

To those of you who joined recently or after major graphics update a few years ago: you don't know what you missed during 2007. Yes, the game was more basic, but imo more enjoyable than today. I suggest that if you are a member, you vote for this and give it a try. I gave the game a try back in 2006, and I enjoyed the vintage version so much that I'm still here.

Posting again in hopes Jagex will read.

As much as I enjoyed "old school" and as much as I hate EOC now, I still would not play "old school" for the sheer fact that we're being forced to start from scratch. If this is the case, then I might as well play classic which is free and I get to start off from scratch. We wanted to be able to play like back in the day WITH our current account, not with an account that we'll have to spend another 5 years of our lives to max out. That's ridiculous. Also, I believe it is unfair that only members are eligible for voting seeing as half of the community cancelled their memberships as soon as EOC came out. You're better off opening the vote to everyone who has purchased membership for at least a month, this seems more viable. I will be voting and expressing my opinion, but I will *** be playing "old school". Not worth my time having two completed accounts. I like the fact of having different saving options for the two different servers. It should be sort of as when EOC beta was out where we could take our main account and items to the beta and use them. That's how it should be in the new server. Except once the main account has been imported into the other server, no more updates can be made from the main game to the "old school" server. That is to say, you import your account once and with those stats and items is where you will start in "old school". Newer items such as nex gear and such should be converted into gp seeing as we won't be able to use any of it and of course, newer skills such as dungeoneering will be null but at least we will be able to retain our money and skills in both servers. That's the only way I will play in the "old school" server.

To the majority of the commenters asking question: Knock off your TL;DR and go read the post. Every question I've seen so far was clearly answered in the original posts. Oh Vets, if you want to vote then renew your membership. It's one month, and if there are enough votes, then you won't be paying $15/month now will you? READ. If you can't read, then who wants you back? Whine gripe and complain, then when you are offered what you wanted, whine gripe and complain some more.

Thanks Jagex. I am truly surprised by this turn of events, After stating unequivocally that this would not happened, you actually listened to your vocal players and offered the possibility. There is yet hope for all of us.

i prefer new scape to old scape atm, but i'm still voting, my reasons:
-It would appease a majority of the rs community
-more people would be playing the game the way they enjoyed it most
-a new, fresh start to the economy for those that go back
-more members meaning more money for jagex and updates
-seperate servers will allow me to switch between game styles
-bots may find that old scapes better money and go there for gold farming (and leave the new community alone)
-you can relive your favourite quest moments
if you vote, EVERYBODY wins, the old community gets their game back, and that rakes in money for new scape updates. VOTE FOR THE SERVERS AND FUTURE OF RS!
