Thank you, Jagex, thank you. This is the poll I have been waiting for for almost 4 years now. I would even be willing to continue playing the current version of RS if this goes through. (Yes, I am still a paying member, have been on and off since 2009)
This will also put an end to all the disgusting buggy private servers that are spawning around the net, and bring you in much profit. You are finally starting to do the right thing.
However, if we receive no updates, I assume that means no old-school holiday events? But I love the cutoff date you chose, we still get Piety (I believe) and the Dragonfire Shield in all its glory. Personally 2007 was my favorite year, before the end of Free Trade and Wilderness Pking.
You have finally given me a reason not to quit this game. I have been thinking about it for some time, now, but this announcement made my inner child jump with joy.
I do not think the community will be the same as back then, but if the game quality is like it was in '07, then that's one plus for me to look forward to.
