Well you've given these players what they asked for "Old Runescape". I read the first 30 pages of these thread, but most of it seemed the same, so posted here now.

Good job on making the "poll" members only. If players are serious about this proposal then they can show their commitment by putting their money where their mouth is. Also good that you are not allowing trial/f2p vote, as we all know that this would bring forth a torrent of "voting bots", as what happened with free trade/wildy vote.

I think it's fair that everyone starts on the same level, gives an even base for everyone. I may even consider having an account on a 2007 server, just to supply the pkers with items as a skiller lol. Was what I did back then. Don't allow imports of accounts from 2013, as most of these players will have come from a ps, and there they have to start from lvl3. Shouldn't make any difference to be honest.

I think the voting targets are realistic, I have read that a ps had 500k registered members. 250k+ votes will bring the price of a 2007 server down to an additional $5 a month, and if the 500K+ goal is met, then no extra membership fee. Considering the amount of players posting about this over the last several months, 250k is doable goal. I doubt you will get a "jaw dropping 1.4 million votes", but let's hope the vote can gain 500k+ votes, so additional costs are not involved for players .

I will probably vote "yes" to help these players out, but unsure if I'll play 2007 servers.

In all honesty myself, and this is just for me to post my thoughts despite this thread running a page every 3 seconds ...


Id like for this update, but due to my current achievements of earning 99 mining around 2009, then 99 prayer in 2011. I do not feel a need to literally replay the game just to re earn those skills yet again. I do think the updates that jagex did in the past are okay, i hate the fact that xp is basically as common as gp these days however. And the EoC is not my favorite update as the depth it provides for me is just skillfully mashing numbers on my keyboard.

For me, i would not return back to 2007 just to fill my gratification, its a nice idea from you jagex, and i understand the "overwhelming demand" for this. the only reason why people are demanding this is simply because of SoF ( aka FREE EXP per day ) and some on the EoC. I would much rather support a server that was before micro-transactions were inserted in the game.

I'm abit saddened by the fact that you have to pay to vote... Won't be voting I guess.
Even while acting as if you support your players wants you're being money hungry -.- Without the membership to vote this poll would easily match the wilderness one, with it, I'm guessing we wont even reach 'level 2'. Anyway really hope this comes out. gj on finally realizing you can cash in and make a large amount of your players happy.

Dang, JAGEX has finally cracked under pressure. To much profit loss perhaps?

I mean, I don't know about this idea. Mainly because it would basically be liked restarting, and I would no longer have the thousands of hours of playing time.

I'll vote, but I'm not entirely sure how this will work out.

I agree with you that some people have not tried it. But I myself have tried it and its certainly not what I enjoy, to begin with melee has more than half the abilites over anything and yes they do have more stats to train but for example in range you can't really use dual-wielding other unload which is an ultimate. And yes it should most likely be a later version of the game.
