It is a back up, I am pretty sure all accounts to that date are included in the backup. Also text files for a character stats probably take nearly no space up, especially considering they most likely have several TB's of space available. Remember this is Java here, not some crazy engine that takes a lot of resources, as well as stats are just a number change, nothing major.

No, the server files and the character saves are 2 totally separate things, they are stored in separate files and separate areas and character saves would amass way too much hdd space even if only saved once per day for all the accounts that have registered. It is not logical to assume they would tie up so much hdd space for something so insignificant as really old character saves and I guarantee they aren't saved in the server backups. Individual character save files have nothing to do with the servers and would not be saved with them.

i like 2007 it was so amazing i was we can rs back somthing from old rs it will become amazing not make all server pvp some server pvp not all it will become so cool and change place clan of wars i will be so clap for this game it good story bro :D ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

After re-reading through the Q&A and multiple reasonable replies
(not the copy/paste spam, for example),
I think I will consider having my vote up.

To all others against this update (like me, I am still not for it), it does indeed state that
the time and resources used will only be at the start, you know, to give it a little shove to get on its feet. I think this was about the only worry holding me strictly negative. That and perhaps the splitting up of the community (it is bound to happen with an update like this).

(I have been playing since 2004 but I do love to see things evolve, change and develop, it gives me a kind of thrill, excitement, something to look forward to)

I hope others will restrain from being too harsh on this subject, I'm glad I
took some more time thinking and reading through.
I'll try and spread the word and I hope you enjoy.
