It's messages like these that our community need a tad more often; to get their spirits up and know we aren't forgotten.
I'm glad you were honest in your post and I too think this is going to be a good year. The game content seems promising so far; the EOC I cannot wait to start (I'm focusing on skilling before killing atm).
Just a few points I hope you keep in mind:
-More communication with players (these news posts are great), especially on the botwatch, I know you want to keep it on the down-low so as to not tip of botters, but even some reassurance to the players of your progress and its success would go a long way
-Faster responses to players; the winter weekends were great but the final snowman event was a disaster and could have been amended if attention was given to those giving genuine feedback.
-Rework old content and not merely replace it with new; there are certain skills that simply do not benefit the players that greatly. Hunter for example; little to no financial gain, small benefits in minigames (stealing creations, herblore habitat), but no genuine purpose. The Big Chinchompa did give us a way to train the skill, but other than total levels, it still serves little to no purpose. The same goes for other skills like runecrafting and fletching.
Looking forward to the big updates of the year though! HTML sounds fantastic and I really do have a good feeling about this year as you are making progress in working out the kinks with the EOC and responding to the players

More focus on already excisting content would be nice. However fix it once and not 10 times, like with nex where it seems I have to relearn it every week, with it now being nearly impossible to duo after a update that didnt mention anything with nex (not even in patch notes).
RuneFest in summer sounds great - hope it's somewhere near my clannies so I have something to go for
After the EoC release you sent out a message to some players with an email they could send feedback to, and where they actually were replied to.
This was awesome, I wish you would've kept it longer as it seemed to benefit both you and the players.
These are just words and for some reason it's always from someone other than Mod Mark, who I feel has the ultimate say on what goes on in the game. It's nice to hear that Jagex will be more involved with the community but I think they just posted to earn a bit of trust back but until something actually happens, my feelings about this game stay the same. Jagex should hold a survey at the beginning or end of the year to see what players are truly interested in. This way players see how their opinions and ideas play a huge role in the game and not just what Mod Mark wants.
I know this seems like I have something against Mod Mark but I feel like he's the one running the game and everyone else isn't getting their ideas and opinions heard.
I hope this post by Mmg goes on to be fulfilled and not just be a list of empty promises.
and we thank you jagex for Sticking with the community to make runescape what it is today, Its not just a game, it's a community, which i'm proud to be a part of, and will be part of for many years to come!
here is to another great year of scaping!

Hi! I don't mean to be to offensive now but... i think many of the "Old" players of RS is quite offended by EoC... why can't you setup a "new" RS server with a game-version from 2005-2009?? you have lost many players cause of EoC. If you haven't realised it...
this "EoC" system is very difficult to step into for many "old" players as you said!
and all the "rework" of places... i ask again. If you can make the "old RS come back.. (may in a new server.)
and all the GE prices...
bandos from 24-26m to 8-12m
whats going on?! ;L
please awnser me!
