hello mod mark, yesterday on page 52 I posted this:

Mod mmg ty for the post and update for 2013.

I have ran a clan for 5 years now and I have enjoyed every minute with my clan. The citadels could use some new skills like farming or agility and the avatars could be updated allowing ranks lower then admin to summon them. Members keep asking me if I will make more admins so the 3 avas are out all the time. I dont think its right to just throw high ranks out to everybody considering my clan has a well established ranking system. It would be nice if you could make it so sargents and up can be avatar wardens

Another concern im constantley facing is a dead clan chat at times. This is because people would rather talk instead of trying to type at a boss or while they are skiling. Also we have people who keep wrong chatting since theres too many chats in rs. clan chat, friends chat, private chat and public chat. With the release of eoc and pressing enter to chat, The / or the // or just enter has created many wrong chatting which has now directed many players to use skype. My clan doesnt allow skype and we have no way to police what happens there. I often get a private message from a clannie telling me about who said what on skype and i wish this was fixed. It takes away the in game chatting a clans suppose to do with all members and not seperate groups.

I would like to *now if it is possible to add, for clans only, a live chatting system which can be policed by clan rules and jagex rules for the whole clan to use. This would, in my opinion, make my clan community more active with each other and get them away from hiding on skype.

I think Elf Carantir is right on page 159. Part of the reason players are not friendly to each other any more is they don't need other players, they just go to the GE and buy items. Also, lower level players and higher level players are often in competition for the same resource spots and monsters, making one not want the other around.

The GE makes trading convenient, and helps avoid scammers, but it also makes it easy for bots to sell their items without needing to talk. I like being able to talk to a player and know I am buying from a real player and not buying items from the GE a bot sold.

As a lower level player, I used to gather items to sell to higher level players and we would become friends as we helped each other. As a higher level player with the GE in place, I have no need of lower level players to gather resources for me since I can just buy from the GE without any hassle. This means I rarely become friends with lower level players because I am not trading with them, I am using the GE, which makes the game less social.

If resources could only be traded between players, and not on the GE, higher and lower level players might interact more. It might also be harder for bots to function because they would no longer be able to trade to the GE without talking, they would have to talk to other players. That is a win win to remove resources from the GE. More social interaction between higher and lower level players, and making it harder for bots to profit.

Lower level players could then be given jobs by higher level players, both would benefit, and the game might become more social again.

I'd also like to see mini games like Pest Control go back to being one boat for all, instead of divided by levels, so I can play with friends. Hi.

this ^ is bull crap, EOC ruined the game for me and hundreds if not thousands of your long term members, which are now x members, you did not give a damn about what we wanted, so please edit it.

this game has gotten pretty sad when you only log in to check ships. The combat is unappealing and really unappealing when you are forced to do it to get desert task done. When players asked for a tweak with bosses they didnt mean dominion tower bosses the nomad is pretty much impossible now and im not even going go there with the rfd bosses. They are all overpowered now idk if you all are trying to make it harder or not but for a grind like dom tower the bosses should be a challenge but not impossible. Im trying to give this combat a chance but this is a huge turn off. So i pretty much decided i was going to scratch off comp cape. So what to do? Skill? Skilling is unprofitable been like that for year but with the bots and price manips from merchants its impossible. Now anytime anything comes out some king noob will say its trash b4 the update goes live because of them reading stats on bts. I remember when slaying was good money. Not anymore all these new weapon and armor updates made slayer worthless except to get exp. Chaotics started this kill and all the other updates ended it. So what else to do on this game? Skilling suck so much many skillers have turned to gambling or item flipping just to make cash. You all need an evolution of skilling instead of combat. Combat was fine to me. So the combat sucks and you cant skill to make money and nothing else to do but to do citadel and chat and check on pop.

I think your recent EoC changes were a step in the right direction, so good job! However, I feel there are still some things that you did not deliver on, and it would be great if you noted the following observations:

In Mod Mark's recent Og Blog, he promised to buff PVM bosses in a way that the highest tier gear would be the best ways of slaying them. Let's take a look at the top team bosses, Nex and the KK:

I realized that Nex was buffed appropriately after the Jan 21st update, well done. Nex was meant to be a team boss and now she is a team boss.

I feel now the KK is due for the same treatment. It is challenging, yes, but I feel that there is room for improvement. My apologies if you already happen to be working on this, which I had a feeling of.

On a final note, both these team bosses seem to be approached in a manner you did not anticipate. That's right, people prefer to use low-level gear with offensive capabilities: void. This undermines the "highest gear" expectations you intended. One solution would be to rework the offense you gave Nex sets to be more in line with void. Void should not even be a close competitor to level 80 gear!

Thank you for your brilliant way of kicking off 2013 and listening closely to player feedback. I believe this is truly the way to advance RuneScape into the future.

make a server for old players to pk old way, it is not fun at all when 90% of the people in wildy are 1 itemers or u just cant find anyone to fight cuase theres none your lvl now. and when you go to a pk world its nearly dead=no fun. im not saying this just cuase i want old way back but honestly eoc comes out all my pk buds quit and we had many many good times and i want more of them good times. i really tried this eoc pking but its seriously no fun some random kid with verac spear runs up and 3 hits me somehow, wuttttt ~_~ i mean if you look at ur players online right now it would say about 70 to 75k before eoc i would see 100k plus just make a seprate world to pk in dosent effect in game or w/e kind of like you did with eoc beta and see the amount of people that come back. although this is a comment about how i want old combat back sooo i wont get a response back probley ohwell.

get rid of the EoC crap or make a server for older players...players who did not start playing this year and love the "old style" of combat/pking may eventually come back. I will not play this trash, i no longer pay for membership and have not even logged in for several months...that single update ruined this game and while you may have a few nooby players who enjoy it, they are not the ones who have supported your sorry lying butts over he past 10 years. Maybe mod mark and your entire team should ask themselves if they enjoy have barley 65,000 players compared to 150+that they used to have online...

@Transcendent that’s it part of the problem but it's just the general attitude of people they don't feel the need to be nice because there is no consequence to their actions and "troll" (aka e-bullying) is openly accepted and thought of as being humorous. Yes to some it may be funny but others it isn't. People need to learn how to have common courtesy for others we have forgotten that as a whole.
