Having a few separate servers for RS 2006 would be amazing. EOC is the worst update and it killed Runescape. So many people left RS including me (I logged on to voice my opinion).

You can't keep ignoring us about this. Clearly there is big demand for RS 2006 server. I'd gladly play for $10 a month. You shut down Private Servers, I wonder why? You wouldn't shut them down if they weren't a threat to you. People join Private Servers for a reason. No one likes RS with EOC.

Even make a trial for 2 months and you'll see how great it is and how much profit you'll make back.

Then again, you guys are arrogant and don't listen to us, so nothing will happen.

Without counting the posts in favor of the EoC, your absolutes are proven wrong if only one person posts in favor of the EoC. I alone am enough data to break your absolutes of "NOBODY wants EOC" and "EVERYBODY wants old combat back"

You see, it only takes one to prove such statements wrong, and yet while you are swimging in data that says &****;some do want it, and some do not want it" you refuse to see the raw data.

Now if you want numbers from a larger sampling than you, and myself, you can take the time to go through the whole thread, and count all posts pro, and all posts con. However, no matter what numbers you get the data will be flawed by people on both sides posting from more then one account name. I'm not even going to guess which side the flaws will favor, or what your results will be, the only reason I bothered to continue with you this far is because I like a challenge, and your selective blindness to facts makes for a challenge.

Just to make it clear:

You are one vote against the EoC.

I am one vote for EoC.

Sampling size = 2
Votes pro = 1
Votes con = 1

Results: Both sides have at least one vote for their side.

Conclusion: Everybody, and nobody are terms that cannot apply to this debate.

sad fact: the mods replied to the first messages where they felt convinient.

as soon as people came up with the true feelings about the eoc
i haven't seen any mod replying to the eoc issue.

see thats the problem jagex folks.
you act like small children.

I have been browsing this thread for the past couple of days and finally decided to post my thoughts and ideas on the subject. I have been a player of Runescape since late ‘04/early ’05, and have been a player of WoW since late ’07. Why include WoW? Easy, it’s the single most relatable idea to Runescape now. I have played off-and-on, flip-flopping between WoW and Runescape over those many years. I can tell you that the similarity begins and abruptly ends at the introduction of abilities. Even then, the abilities only remotely resemble anything relating to WoW. Runescape has a unique system in place that no other game I’ve played/seen has, and that is the individual skills.

Sure, WoW has mining, smithing, enchanting and the like, but it is radically different from Runescape. WoW and many major MMO’s have a base xp bar and a set character level. In Runescape, you have to level individual stats to craft your own unique character within this universe. As far as combat goes, you have to level individual stats in Runescape which made it more personal without having to resort to “classes”. Also, Runescape usually takes years of dedication to achieve a high level, where WoW is a little more fast-paced.

But that’s not my focus. My focus is on how Runescape can adapt to change without having to do something drastic. I also apologize if this post takes up a ton of room.

To Jagex

We all love Runescape regardless of what we may say to the contrary. It’s been a major part of many lives including mine. For some it was the first multiplayer game they played, for others it was the single best way to talk to friends while having fun. Now I will get down to my main points and how Runescape may adapt and rise to be a better game than ever before. I highly doubt anyone wants the game to just die off forever.
