That moment when you realize that years of silence was better than recent openness... Micro transitions aren't needed, nor were they ever "needed". The game did fine without them for how many years? I remember a time when there'd be over 200,000 players online, now you do good to hit 100,000. Hell, getting into any of the trade worlds took an act of God. If you knew what was good for you you'd make the veterans happy instead of trying to get new players...

Awesome! The only thing I really want is for flowers to be changed (and without notice! It'll be funny for gamblers!), so that only the planter can see their flower (It takes up the entire G.E.!).

But I'd also like to see the two new skills you were talking about earlier. :)

Can we expect a Castle wars rework of some sort? Or maybe more rewards. It used to be one of the major attractions of the game back in the day, but its more or less dead content now. Courtesy of soul wars and soul wars bots.

I'm glad to see posts like this in the new feed. It reassures me that you guys are eager to improve. On the note of 2012 issues, I felt I would list a few more.
1) Game Card Promotions: These are nice, but they feel like a big snub to us players who are on a recurring monthly membership. I would like to see some content added that gives special content to recurring members too, not just game card or premier club members (even though I am in the premier club, I want recurring members to receive special content as well). It was especially infuriating when you guys released awesome things like the flaming skull (which i got from premier).
2) Cosmetic Items: Before, the only way to give cosmetic items was as an actual space taking item. With the solomon store and customization update, I think that you guys need to make use of the space saving and easy access features of solomon when you guys release any new cosmetic gear this year or any following year. Looking at my toy box and diango storage, I see a bunch of junk that I have no intention of using because it takes up a valuble slot. Solomon allows me to use the cosmetic item without losing valuble space.
3) EOC: As much as I love the update, it was way premature to release. This is clearly evidenced by the repeated buffs and rebuffs and re-re-re-buffs you guys are doing. If you guys plan to do anything this big again, do not just make it so 50k can join and members only. This needed to be available to the community the entire time. THe fact that you guys blocked alot of users from it prevents you guys from receiving the bug reports and complaints that would have solved alot of these issues early on. If you beta something small like a minigame or quest, fine, make it small. But if you beta a new skill or something as gigantic as EOC, include every person you can.

Continued....

continued from 3:
Ranged also needs to be fixed. Why would dragons be weak to arrows when arrows are a 2h weapon? How are we supposed to protect from dragonfire without 85 herb? This failure to predict and plan is evident in a few monsters, but dragons are a huge issue. Melee was already perfect for eoc, with 1h, 2h, dual-wield and shields already made. Mage was a siple fix with mage shields and mage orbs for duaal wield, along with new 1h wands. Ranged has not seen the same love from EOC. Bows barely go up to 50. Crosssbows and their ammo also are way unbalanced in regards to level matchups. Thrown weapons are terrible. Ranged needs a complete rework to support 1h, 2h, dual wield and shield combinations at all levels accross bows, crossbows and thrown styles. Ranged abilities are fine, leave them alone.
4) Community imput: When you launched EOC I hoped the ingame bug reporter would come with it. Apparently my hopes were mislayed. Bug reporting needs to be in game for quick reporting of bugs. I shouldn't need to go to the home page and sort through a ton of pages to get to the bug reporter.
I would also like to see more voting and posting of live vote statistics. For instance, if you ask the community what quest series they would like to see get a quest this year, or next year, do a survey to the accounts. Don't make it mandatory, but make suere players can see it when they log in, along with regularly updated statistics of the vote.
You guys have work ahead of you, but these news posts give me faith that you can do it.

They need the micros to make up for the players they lost. anyone else think this is to little to late? I haven't touched combat since november. I didnt rant on the forums and if he went in game he was in the wrong place.

Saying "sorry" doesnt always fix it.

@PvM Oreo

It's people like you that are killing gaming and what it needs to continue. No one, not Jagex or anyone else here, cared about what your childhood consisted of. I played Runescape for much of my childhood but I didn't complain about the EoC. This game needed change and the EoC brought just that. I was pretty happy when they announced they were completely changing the combat, I hated the old combat. Now you say you speak "for the majority" and only a few thousand would want it, well pre-EoC there were, give or take, about 110K online each day, now there are, on average, about 85K players online each day. So if you consider the majority to be 35K of 110K, then you are horribly mistaken. (The 35K would be the estimated amount of people that probably quit from the EoC) I'm not sorry to tell you this, but more people wanted the EoC than you may think. Change comes to things and you either keep up with it or you give up. I would suggest you give up because you are helping no one by complaining about change.
