Well you are going to have to accept that you, Jagex did make mistakes and just because Einstien said "..." doesn't change the fact that you made the mistakes even though you (again you as in Jagex) were recieving plenty of feedback from the players.

As a result players, including myself have quit your game, (im not calling it Runescape). I still check in on the website every now and then because Runescape had been such a big part of my life until 2012 August when everything went down hill. However, I dont see any point of continuing to play. Runescape isn't the type of game you play for an "in-the-moment" high, or fun. It is more of a work hard towards a goal, achieve if, and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. That was why i played Runescape instead of other games such as FPS's where you just play and you're done, nothing else to it.

Over 2012, there have been too many "old-ways" diminishing conent. Such as bonfires...we (the older players) had to single click everything. Or with Runespan, we had to train it very slowly and with maximum concentration to make it efficient. Or for pvmers, we took the time to make hundreds of mills to buy the best gear just to have it drop so much so quickly.

I understand that Runescape has to evolve, and people won't want to play we use to. However...that doesn't mean just evolve and diminish everything veteran players worked for in the past. At the very least, there could have been some distinction between doing it the old way or the new ways.

Like an idea would be, after releasing runespan, change to skillcape to something else because 13m xp at ZMI deservers a lot more notice than 13m afking at Runespan at 3x the xp rate. Or add timelines to adventure logs; showing milestones on that players timeline. Like when they achieved a 99.

Anyways, ive said enough. I have quit, i dont plan on coming back this time, but i will continue to check the updates and such because over the years Runescape has become a part of my life

If the Law worked like you think it should. There would be no need for precedence. ANY former case is just a FORMER CASE. It is not BINDING on future cases. If it was then EVERY case of similar crime would be tried exactly the same and have the same result. BUT as you can easily research, that ISN'T the case. You cannot CLAIM that Jagex is culpable of this unless a court so decides it. And like I said before, with American's running the show, you can bet that deals will be made and issues talked about that gets it swept under the rug, or dismissed.

You may wish to brush up on the legal trade before opening your mouth to switch feet....

They do not provide. They have considered it a scam and marked it as so. Getting rid of the "platform" would mean getting rid of the game. If "illegals" have shown us one thing it is that they will always find a way around whatever blocks you put in.

"The EoC beta (another first for RuneScape) had well over 4 months of your feedback, with huge amounts of balancing and revision of the content. However, looking back this was clearly still not enough for such a big update. Despite the beta it’s clear we didn’t fully appreciate the extent to which everyone would have to adapt to the new gameplay."

I understand you wish to keep the community involved, however things like this shouldn't be sold to us. There is still a line in the sand as to where you sit and where we stand. Instead of informing us of what you took for granted, mention forthcoming improvement thru our feedback. No offense, but we do not want to know you calculated something wrong, its just too much info for a community following your lead. All this article tells me is "We planned on launching it, so we did. Now, oops it may have been too soon". Ya dig? Vote for pedro!

Thank you MMG, better late than never; didn't have to explain anything to me, but I know a good number of players who wanted to see some more from the top. I agree with what was posted, and the game has gotten way better just over the last year. I'm always going to like old things like my d defender, unidentified herbs, dds, special attacks as well as old quests like Romeo and Juliet. However, the new *uests are some of the best I've played; the new content is awesome. Player Owned Ports are probably one of my favorites. I hope most players will always look at the good improvements to the game first, rather than just focus on negatives. Focus on the future, not the past. A key to success in argumentation, as a side note is; start by listing the past, then state where you are, then turn your argument toward a future that is positive. I think that is a good way to win people over and the more that is done the better.

I appreciate the message and am excited for the future of RuneScape. I've been (mostly) happily addicted to it since I started playing, and while I don't like that the micro-transactions are taking over things like the Loyalty Shop, I do understand the need for them (though I do think there is a bit more "cheesiness" than needed with the spins, but maybe that's just me). Also, while new quests are great, I don't like that pretty much every "remake" of a quest involves combat now. My favorite thing about RuneScape versus other games was that you could just train peaceful skills. There was no real need to fight if you didn't want to. Now, basic quests require or give combat xp. That means basic parts of the game will not be unlockable for people who wish to not train combat. It feels like Jagex is trying to weed out every type of "pure", including non combat skillers. I don't consider myself a "pure" anything. I simply don't like fighting (ask my husband.. when playing console games, I throw the control at him when I get to a fighting part, haha). Anyway, those are my thoughts. I love RuneScape and have always admired the people who make this game happen! Thank you! :)

PestLord....Jagex is a UK registered company. It comes under UK law, regardless of where the parent company is based. Not that anyone is going to take action against Jagex or its parent company for gambling problems within the game. Jagex need to address the issue. Plenty ideas of how within this thread. Simplest one is make all flowers one colour.

Jagex needs to stop gambling in GE and stop bots. End of.

Asides from the obvious remark from everyone of getting rid of the bots, I feel like remaking the quests is nice but making those players who have done a previous version redo the newer version is a bit annoying. I am personally working on getting my quest point cape and only have 9 quests left but it seems that list could diminish a little faster if I wasn't required to do quests over. Although they're usually easy and short, I'd prefer to start another quest and have the fresh content than do the same one again with different graphics.

As the game changes, so must the aspects. Bonfires made firemaking useful. Runespan made it so runecrafting was possible to train, whats wrong with that? Who cares about the supposed "value" of a skillcape. Anyways, as bots can get 99s in all of them, they have no worth at all.
