Geez why all the hate against EoC... it's quite amusing once you.... figure out... your ... skill combinations? Pre-EoC wasn't bad, don't get me wrong. However EoC REALLY allows for one to mix it up thus adding bunch of different potential playstyles.

As for 07scape, congrats. Personally I'd have voted against it because it's gonna reduce numbers on the usual servers, and to a point I feel like it's gonna pull money away from Jagex as a whole since it's one more dev team except now we got TWO Runescapes. That said, I voted in favor.

Regarding the whole "We're the true Runescapers and you're not, nasty EoC lovers".... may the Vyrelords use your skin for a carpet. Could throw it right back with some form of "Learn to adapt, confused young one, or is more than one button too confusing for you?". Btw "button-mashing", eh? Might explain why EoC ain't working for you.. gotta time them ;-)

Educated guess, the amount of people who quit and re-subscribed for 07 RS combined with those who migrate should be enough to keep it alive without extra fee, or maybe a reduced fee ($2-ish). I suggest you guys start having an open mind and be ready to negotiate that with Jagex 6 months from now if the numbers don't add up (Maybe pay the same as usual but give up your EoCRS membership... bear that in mind before you hate more on it).

Jagex i must say i applaud you for what you did even tho we didn't make it to 500k. You gave US versatility between the benfits! And you gave us the option that we want to play Old or New, Never a seen a company do this ever!!! And you won't regret by not raising the membership price for 07 cause in given time our commuity will grow back into full strength!!! (Even its for members only) Still because of what you did be proud cause you won the heart of players option. As long the Rs07 severs stay what they should be you will have me as a long term subscriber again. :)

Lets make it back to the days of glory of 250k+ at one time!!!

Thank you good sir!! it really is greatly appreciated that the Jagex team could bring back a few dedicated servers to us "old Timers". Honestly I know that you guys have put sooo much time into developing the EOC and it has "changed" the game. For some for the worse and some for the better, Probably for the future of the game and to stay competitive towards other games this was the right choice. However, I believe that it came off to aggressively and much without the option of the player's. For me as soon as the EOC was launched i felt like I had a hard time "continuing" to play the game. It really was a Massive change. But something like this game that I felt like i had basically mastered was re-built. Either way. It really was for the best of the game and I know that you guys did not just think of yourselves about an update like this.

Now that that's done. Thank you guys so much for bringing back an 07 server and I look forward to scaping just like the old times with all of you oldschool players.

Comes down to a matter of tastes...

EoC has that "WoW-Clone" feel to it while keeping it Runescape, for lack of a better description. Up until now it had been "Runescape for when I want a skilling game with true gathering, crafting, and economy from scratch" and other MMO's for when I wanted some good ol' mind-numbing combat.

EoC basically has added stuff like tanks, raw offence, off-tanks (shield n weap), some more mage flexibility and once Lunars get some more love, proper Healers. But it's still Runescape.

Old Runescape combat on the other hand is more primal so to speak................. maybe I'll finally make that pure I've been promising myself to make since 06 ^_^
