Why do you assume I'm 17 and then bash my signature? You're not making yourself out to look mature.

My signature is a paradox. It's a joke. No need to get butthurt.

And even without bots more people are on the side of the main game than 2007scape.

It's not a surefire thing that Jagex will start to charge $5 more once the 6-month grace period runs out. It's completely playerbase dependent. If there's a drop-off in activity on the 2007 servers, then they will have to start charging extra. if there's no drop-off, then it will remain a free service to current members. It is highlighted so in the opening post.

I just want to thank Jagex for not adding on any additional fees and also for listening to the wants of many players. I hope the old school servers do well, I know I will certainly get on them every once in a while (at least) so I can relive some of the magic of days past. Thanks again, Jagex!

Awesome.

Next step is letting us play both versions at the same time on the same account. That'd be dope. Next step after that is rolling back eoc. I love both versions but eoc is currently a ghost town




Edit: I think it would be a fair idea to charge the additional fee to allow access to both versions at once

People just don't get it.

It wasn't necessary to even have a poll or ever mention an extra cost associated with 07scape. The fact is whether someone is playing 07scape or EoCscape(p2p) is irrelavent, either way you're still a paying member. You really can't play both of them and not severely slow your progress in both.

Introducing 07scape was a smart move on Jagex part because it brought back alot of paying members they would not otherwise have. Introducing a seperate fee on top of current membership would have been ludicrous.

Time will tell, but if 07scape does maintain a decent server population it should stick around extra fee free. It comes down to costs in extra servers/dev team for 07scape vs the actual total server population on it.

On a side note, I'll never play 07scape but its nice that the option is there for people.
