they are not really threatening, we were already TOLD about the $5 extra fee if we never made the 500k which we didn't and yet here they are offering to give us the service at no extra cost anyway and if the enthusiasm and support continues we get to keep it at no extra cost. We never made the 500k vote, we were not supposed to get this opportunity so there is no threat in that, more just an offer of good will from Jagex.

With it being part of my normal membership I am more eager to spend time in 07.
This for me is a deciding factor....but I do realise it has just increased the value of my membership, so thanks.
I intend on making full use of it.

In all honesty, I was waiting to commit any real time to it until I knew if it would require a financial commitment too.

Nice to hear about this. Even though I don't really care about the '07 servers either way, it's nice to hear about the goodwill lack of extra fee for 6 months. It's things like that that'll win the community back.

Also, to everyone complaining about this, seriously? You HAVE the servers back, you do not have to pay an extra fee despite not reaching your target for at least half a year, and the supposed increase in fee isn't even a certainty, it depends on whether or not people are actually playing the game, suggesting that if there is a decent level of support, things will stay as is. You're complaining about this...? Say what you will about Jagex, they did a decent thing here, as well as with the '07 servers in general. Some folks just ain't satisfied I guess. Good job though from me. Respect earned. :)

Well, even though I am happy that 2007 servers are open, the fact that I have to pay MORE to use them... yeah... I would LOVE to PLAY ON THE SERVERS, but I am NOT paying extra to do so.

"For at least the next 6 months": They can make it a year for free, and then RANDOMLY SAY "Oh Yeah, because you were missing those 50k votes, yeah... we are going to have you pay more now!"

Because there WILL be a fee in the future, I am not playing 2007 servers as it will be such a huge waste of time for nothing
