Looks like I won't be playing. Nice "gesture" you guys had up your sleeves. There were probably more players that voted in that poll than actually play your game in the state it's in. This is just another ploy to try to squeeze some more money out of the diminishing player-base. This "old school" Runescape will not have a long lifespan without a f2p option. If you really wanted old players to return you would get rid of the horrible money grabs you've added to the game in the last 2-3 years that devalue the whole playing experience. Why do you think we left in the first place?
Runescape's search rankings have dropped to a lower level than when RS2 was first introduced back in 2004. I guess short term profit is more important than overall long-term profitability and the longevity of the company. The downward trends on the graphs show no signs of stopping and there's not much room left until Runescape's and Jagex's numbers hit rock bottom. It doesn't take an expert to notice what has changed between now and when Runescape's numbers were highest.
